Skunny: Save Our Pizzas is a sidescrolling platform game released in 1993 by Copysoft.

Skunny the squirrel travels back in time to ancient Rome because the evil Chef of Cadiz wants to destroy the invention of pizza so that he can make his own imitation. Skunny must save the recipe and prevent history from being changed.

Gameplay involves jumping on enemies to defeat them and collecting items to gain points and save the pizza recipe.

Skunny: Save Our Pizzas contains examples of:

  • Ancient Rome: The game's setting, as Skunny has traveled back in time there.
  • Battle Trophy: Many enemies drop a piece of their equipment when defeated, such as a helmet or harp. Sadly, they only award points when picked up.
  • Bottomless Pits: Skunny can fall down a bottomless pit and lose a life.
  • Cartoon Bomb: Bombs that look like black balls with fuses can be picked up by Skunny and used against foes, sending them flying.
  • Catapult to Glory: Skunny can use small catapults to launch himself across chasms.
  • Evil Chef: The game's Big Bad, the Chef of Cadiz, who fights with kitchen knives.
  • Funny Animal: Skunny Squirrel, essentially the mascot of Copysoft.
  • Goomba Stomp: One of the ways to defeat enemies is by jumping on them.
  • Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Skunny seems to be wearing no trousers (or shoes).
  • Have a Nice Death:
    • If you repeatedly fall into the pits or use a bomb on yourself, the game will ask "Are you suicidal?"
    • Being killed by an enemy Roman brings up the message "Romans have bad attitudes!"
  • Ledge Bats: Crows can fly into Skunny as he jumps, causing him to fall.
  • Made of Explodium: Tridents and musical notes used by the enemies explode on impact.
  • Scoring Points: You get points for destroying enemies and getting items like helmets and harps.
  • Time Travel: Skunny ends up going back in time to Ancient Rome.
