Baleful Polymorph is no longer a trope

* BalefulPolymorph: [[spoiler:The Jester's "little wish" that he teases in the game's opening. The first time you defeat him, he transforms you into a boss fighter, and form there you can cycle between the others bosses at will through the press of a button. That's not irony. I don't even know what that is.

Moving to Trivia per TRS

* DummiedOut: The Genesis version of the game was originally planned to have support for an early version of ''online multiplayer'', which was meant to be accomplished by the [[VaporWare abandoned]] [[http://segaretro.org/Edge_16 Edge 16 modem adapter]] for the Genesis. The CES 1994 version of the game was playable with this option, but when plans for the adapter fell through by the time Ballz was released, the feature was scrapped from the final game. For some reason, the manual still mentions the option to use the peripheral.
** The character added in the director's cut version, Zombie, has data present in the Genesis version, but is very unfinished, as if they are made playable by hacking, they can only turn in place, and cannot move or attack at all.

** Note that [[spoiler: "Taunt the ostrich!" is actually a hint as to how to beat the first boss, who can gain back health incredibly quickly when its head is buried in the ground. Ten taunts or so and any single attack will finish the job.]]

Hence the title, you play in a pseudo 3D game environment as eight spherical characters trying to beat The Jester.
