Useful Notes: Commodore PET

Commodore's entry into the computer world was with their PET (Personal Electronic Transactor) computer, first released in 1977. It was quite popular at first, but became outclassed by its competitors, the Apple ][ and Atari 8-Bit Computers. It received a small amount of immortality in film, however, as the computer terminal in Captain Kirk's San Francisco apartment in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
