About Vanguard (the troper): The distinctive avatar that Vanguard uses across the internets. And no, he isn't "emo", so stop bloody asking.
Vanguard, sometimes "Vanguard1219" to the internet at large depending on the availability of the name, is a past and very occasional contributor to The Escapist, a supporter of LoadingReadyRun and a member of their "gang" the Runners, a freelance photographer, a borderline destitute college student and an overall cynical, jaded and deeply sarcastic individual with occasional bouts of completely unwarranted and incredibly inaccurate narcissism.
Also, he has a beard and is, for the record, getting pretty tired of being decriminalized against at the hands of negative stereotypes. He's also getting tired of referring to himself in the third person.
Why Vanguard (the troper) uses Vanguard (the word) as a name for Vanguard (the troper):As noted above, "vanguard" means "the troops moving at the head of an army".
