For those who don't recognize the reference - I'm named after Turin Turambar, son of Hurin, tragic hero from
The Silmarillion.
My interests:
- Anything written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Duh.
- Also, lots of stuff by Gene Wolfe. Most of my edits are just adding examples from the Book of the New Sun.
- Also interested in Fyodor Dostoevsky, William Faulkner, Herman Melville, Cormac McCarthy, and often wonder why this wiki doesn't have more stuff about them... yeah, I'm an English Literature major. But a math major too!
- Joss Whedon fan: Buffy, Angel, Firefly. Other TV shows I like include The Wire and New Who.
- Have seen but three anime series: Death Note, Code Geass, and Neon Genesis Evangelion
My old hobby was writing campaigns for
The Battle For Wesnoth; two of the official campaigns, "The Eastern Invasion" and "The Sceptre of Fire," are mine, as are most everything set in the Orbis Terrarvm alternate world. I don't do that anymore though.
