TropeBot is an IRC bot that hangs around the
Troper IRC Channel. She is owned, operated, and maintained by
Caphi. She's written in Python using PyBotlib.
TropeBot responds to the following general commands.
- !trope words go here: TropeBot presents the URL http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WordsGoHere. Except in that case, she'd tell you it doesn't exist. Sucker.
- !tsearch <words go here>: A more general search of the wiki.
- !search <words go here>: TropeBot presents the URL of a bodysearch for "words go here".
- !ykttw <words go here>: TropeBot links the YKTTW search for "words go here".
- !walpha <math gibberish>: Query Wolfram Alpha.
- !random: Returns a random page in the wiki. Does not return WMG, JustBugsMe, or in fact anything outside of main.
- !fsearch <words go here>: Returns the first Google result for the TV Tropes fora.
- !lastedit <username>: Finds the last edit by the user on This Very Wiki.
- !scp <number>: Link to an SCP.
- !rscp: Link to a randomly-selected SCP.
And these for RPs, usually on #tropers-rp:
- !pfsrd <words go here>: Search the Pathfinder SRD.
- !dice xdy: TropeBot rolls x dice of y sides each and shows you the rolls and their sum. It's not a very good dice function, mostly because Caphi is a nub.
- !roll xdy: Same.
- !stat: Rolls stats for a d20-system character under the system of 4d6 drop low. The seventh number is the average, stop asking.
- !wod <pool>: Rolls under the World of Darkness system. Add the difficulty for old rolling!
- !rod <number>: Some kind of randomly selected action?
