Years ago, he heard the phrase "Tech Sergeant" as a rank in the U.S. Army. Some time later, he saw the word "thaumaturgy" shortened to "thau". The two ideas wandered through his head, connected... and the rest is history.
He wastes altogether too much time trying to make meaningful contributions to this and other Wikis, especially given his status as an unemployed office worker. You'd think that there would be a bottomless well of need for that in an industrial country, but you'd be wrong...
