It's about time I made myself a page!
So... about me. I'm a guy, a systems analyst, a Science Fiction / Fantasy / everything in between fan, and absolutely love to play Video Games. Oh, and I like dragons.
It's a bit short, I know. But hey, it's a start! I will eventually finish it... or you will do your magic here and flesh it out!
Tropes that apply to me:
- Proud to Be a Geek: people keep telling me I'm a freak. I point out how they just waste their time drinking and talking shit every single day, whereas I go read a book, play a video game or work on some personal programming projects. Or waste my own time somewhere else. And I don't care about their responses, because I'm a geek and I'm proud of it.
- No Social Skills: kindly pointed out by my boss at work. Although this has changed considerably when I last wrote this list.
- Mistaken for Gay: and I really hate it. You just can't say or do anything without other people thinking this. Doesn't really help that I am...
- Asexual: and never had a girlfriend.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: as a programmer/computer scientist, I'm absolutely convinced I'm great (well, not as much as John Carmack or Donald Knuth, but still, I'm definitely better than almost anyone I know personally). If only I wasn't a...
- Ridiculous Procrastinator: I will create my contributor page* and finish those programming projects. Someday.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: once my addiction to World Of Warcraft went too far, I got this from my parents and never played MMOGs anymore.
- Heroic BSoD: happened the moment I deleted my characters on the above game right after forcibly leaving a raid. I was the one and only main tank of the guild. My friends on TeamSpeak went like WTF? I felt pretty bad that day, but got better a week later.
- Beige Prose: how I usually talk about anything, to the point of being laconic. Contrasted to how I usually write about anything. Also kindly pointed out by my boss.
- The Insomniac
- True Neutral: if it doesn't concern me, I don't care. If it does, I'll do my best to avoid creating conflicts, so long as I stay out of trouble as well.
- The Quiet One
- Humans Are Morons, Humans Are Bastards, Humans Are Flawed and their friends: yes, they generally are; I'm a reluctant member of the humanity.
