You know what it is like when you're younger. Everyone is trying to influence you, teach you how they see the world and convince you that you should see it the same way. Trying to shove their morality down your throat at every given opportunity. It kinda carries on through life the same way, but you usually get set in your ways after a while and less susceptible to influence.

The thing is, none of what they were trying to teach me ever sank in. I got all of what I needed from books and critical thinking. They did however influence me in how they expressed it though. At some level I believe I took it to heart that how they expressed it was the accepted social way of going about things.

So, to my understanding... really fitting in isn't about having stupid ideas about life being good, death being bad, mushrooms being tasty or any such other utterly ridiculous things. Rather, fitting in is about being the best arrogant, hypocritical, pushy, myopic prat you possibly can. So of course I do my utmost to share my views with others the same way they share their views with me: By pushing it all down their throat, and treating anyone who disagrees as an inferior. I mean if they didn't want to be treated that way, why would they do it to others? It makes perfect sense! ^_^ In a world of hypocrites, it would just be rude to not be hypocritical.

Honestly, mind you, I don't really care what other people think. I'm just not that way inclined. BUT I do have to live among them, so it is in my best interests to try to fit in at least a little... somehow. This world is no place for such original thinking as respect for individual differences, or minding your own damned business. Shame really. But at least we all get to die in the end, so it isn't so bad.
