So I couldn't think of a better name when I made this handle. Shoot me.

Video game and shonen junkie (and animation aficionado in general), 17 years old. I have way too many interests to list here, but the main ones are science/math, international relations, exploration, and languages (I speak German and Spanish as well as my native English). Also really into flight and space and all that jazz. And, recently, a Muay Thai newb. I also like baseball.

Currently in Germany on an exchange program, heading back to the US of A in 2 months. (Can't believe the time's gone by so fast!)

If by some miracle you actually found this page, check out my in-progress work, Raising Hell.

Stuff that I like:

Video Games

Anime, Manga, and Western Animation

Books and Literature

Animated Films

Tropes launched from my YKTTW's:

Works that I don't like that people thought I would:
  • A Very Potter Musical. I don't know, I just didn't find any of the humor all that funny.
  • Tom Lehrer. He's pretty funny, but after hearing a few of his songs, it's clear to me that he's a germanophobic douchebag.

Tropes that describe me:

  • Deadpan Snarker: To the extent that I was known by one of my teachers as "that smart ass with the glasses" before she learned my name.
  • The Stoic: Usually.
  • The B Grade: Subverted. I'm normally an A student but getting B's usually doesn't bother me that much. B-'s and C's....concern me a tad more.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: Hehe
  • Extremity Extremist: As one of my friends put it, "I may punch like a baby, but I kick like a horse."
  • He Cleans Up Nicely: Apparently.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: I'm normally tolerable, but I have a penchant for playing villains in musicals.
  • Voice Types: Bass-baritone, in my case. Which explains the above trope. I can go lyric baritone mode (which my voice teacher, unlike most people I've met, vastly prefers, much to my chagrin) if I want to, but I like my lower range better. He actually called me a "tenor with a low extension" at my last lesson, which...I don't quite get.
    • As a side note, my current established range is D#2 to A4.
  • Understatement: Almost an addiction.
  • The Straight Will And Grace: Some of my best friends are girls, but I've only ever had an actual attraction to one, and it was pretty short lived.
  • Jerkass Façade: In the first months of my freshman year...to anyone who wasn't in the marching band, at least, the only people who readily accepted me. I moved before my freshman year to a small Appalachian town, with 99.9% of the attendees of the school being born and raised in the area. It wasn't the most welcoming environment for the Funny Foreigner.
  • This Is A Sentence Bitch: One of my more popular techniques for emphasis.
  • Sarcasm Mode: Like Understatement, almost an addiction.
  • Precision F-Strike: I'm no prude when it comes to swearing, but I usually try to punctuate it as much as possible.
  • Non-Action Guy: Typically, but...just don't push me too far.
  • The Napoleon: Well, I'm not nasty, and at 5'7"-5'8" I probably don't have much of a right to it, but I still feel self conscious about my height quite often.
  • Vocal Dissonance: About average height, clean shaven face (though I do have to actively keep it that way), skinny...and my voice sounds like Barry White, particularly early in the morning or late in the evening. In the middle of the day, it's more normal but still definitely on the "low" end of the spectrum. I also happen to have the second lowest singing voice in my class; my best friend has the lowest.
  • The Quiet One: I'm good at cracking jokes, but not so much with small talk, so I don't usually speak unless I feel it's important, or unless something happens that I can make jokes about.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Towards my older sister. It makes sense considering I'm substantially larger than her (5'8" and just under 170 lbs compared to her under 5' frame).
  • Real-Life Relative: With Rose And Heather, who may have sniffled a little at Big Brother Instinct...
  • Romance on the Set: Met my current girlfriend at Les Mis; I was playing Javert and she was playing adult Cosette
