Salivanth is an Australian living in Sydney. He enjoys reading about immensely difficult gaming challenges, attempting them, and failing to even get into the neighborhood of success.
He enjoys difficult games, his primary interests at the moment being
I Wanna Be the Guy and roguelikes. His roguelike resume includes such illustrious achievements as:
- Reaching dungeon level 2 in Nethack.
- Reaching the Orcish Mines in Crawl.
- Reaching dungeon level 7 in Angband's Ironman Challenge.
- Almost beating Doom RL, on it's easiest difficulty.
- Reaching level 3 of the underwater tunnel in IVAN.
- Reaching dungeon level 4 on Rogue.
- Reaching a dungeon in ADOM.
He has had significantly more success with I Wanna Be The Guy. Playing on medium mode, he has defeated The Guy. It took him 9 months, but he finally did it. He is currently attempting to defeat the game on Hard Mode, because his life wasn't masochistic enough without the game.
Salivanth occasionally watches anime series on Google Video. He's almost through the Avatar series. Salivanth enjoys making trope references to his favourite shows, engaging in stereotypical nerdy activities such as Chess, Magic: The Gathering and World of Warcraft (to anyone offended, I'm not referring to those who practice these activities casually) and referring to himself in the third person.
