Tropes associated with Nova X Advent (The narrative will be first person, second person or third person dependent on convenience.)
- Beware the Nice Ones: He seems like a nice enough person, because he is. But he's ready to snap at someone and may do it over a little reason.
- Big Brother Instinct: In Cadets, he will often be this to the younger cadets. He generally won't let people mess with them unless it's him or someone else in the corp, because the corp is family.
- Blessed with Suck: He was born with this special thing called "Intellectual Giftedness". It's supposedly good, but has basically done no good for him, and stunted the growth of his social skills.
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: I goof off a lot at Cadets and often does things that are considered weird overall. I'm also one of the few cadets in my corp to be double promoted and considered in line for another promotion shortly after the double promotion. My skills in cadets are also pretty good for someone like me. Then again, the same can be said for everyone in varying amounts. EVERYONE in cadets is prone to being a bunny ears lawyer at some point in their careers.
- Chaste Hero: 17 years and he still lacks any real sexual experience. And he has one more year to find a girlfriend before prom...
- Deadpan Snarker: Oh so much.
- Four Man Band: Him and 3 of his friends from school fit this. There are other friends shared that could fit in, but the roles are more apparent with only these four.
- The Hero & The Big Guy: My closest friend amongst the band. He tends to call the shots and is more physically imposing than the rest of us due to constant working out, often using his size to impose his will.
- The Lancer: The older brother of the band's hero. (I fit the role of The Lancer to The Hero better, but then I would fit 3 main roles while leaving one person left out. The personalities of the brothers tend to contrast enough that he can be an accurate lancer.)
- The Chick: The dumb friend of the group. He has personality, but his main interests are cars and girls. I think that's it. He's often treated worse than anyone else in the group, and has a lot of misfortune fall on him. It's very amusing.
- The Smart Guy & The Fourth Ranger: Me. On the smart guy part, it's agreed upon by everyone else in the group that I'm pretty damn smart. On the fourth ranger part, I'm the newest member to the group.
- Fragile Speedster: Although he's never really been in a fight, he relies on his mobility to help him win a fight since he's kinda weak and will go down HARD if he gets hit.
- Weak, but Skilled: But he has enough knowledge of martial arts and weaponry to be a threat to an unsuspecting opponent.
- Kuudere: He's a mix of type 1 and type 2, going in the order of Type 2, then Type 1. It causes some annoyance for some of his friends.
- Ninja: Some of my friends claim me to be this, due to my random stealth abilities.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: He's a blue oni to his best friend's red oni.
