I discovered tvtropes when, in a thread about Final Fantasy VI on /v/, someone post a link to the article for Seinfeld Is Unfunny. I lurked for a bit, then I started to edit pages around here. I'm 22 years old and I'm an English major at a community college in Illinois. I don't really know what else to say because I think I'm a boring person. When I'm not in my college classes, I'm usually here editing entries, reading a book, watching House or Hell's Kitchen, or playing something (as of late, strictly RPGs) on my XBox 360, PS2, or Gamecube. Recently, I've been trying to make time to read more of Anne Sexton's complete works.

I've edited mostly the following:

The heavy focus on RPGs is because I've been on a real RPG spree over the past four months when Tales of Vesperia introduced me to the Tales Series, then Tales of Symphonia, then Tales of the Abyss, and then Tales of Phantasia with DeJap's great Fan Translation.

Some of my favorite tropes are:

Here's a funny story about my earliest video game-related memory: When I was four years old, I started playing Legend of Zelda for NES. I finally made it to Level 9 and my cousin, who is eight years older than I am, helped me as much as he could over the phone; he himself had not beaten the game yet. Amazingly, I managed to defeat Gannon and his teleport/invisibility bullshit at the age of four. As soon as Gannon turned into a pile of ashes, I burst into tears. I thought I broke the game because, unlike every other enemy in the game, Gannon did not disappear; he "melted" as I described it. My brother rushed upstairs as soon as he heard me cry and asked what was wrong. I told him that I broke the game because Gannon melted. He told me that I didn't break the game; I beat the game.
