Well, hello there.
I'm Mister Bibs. My last name isn't Bibs, but Bibs is what people started calling me. It's better than the nickname of Scumbag that has a long, boring, stupid origin. Of course, if you're curious...
I tend to edit whatever I feel like editing. I tend to Wiki Walk a lot. Usually, it's whatever I'm focusing on at the time. If I'm in a Bioshock mood, I'm editing that. If I'm in a Green Lantern vibe, I'm editing that. Its funny *, I usually see TV Tropes as an extension of whatever I'm currently into. This has benefits, because oftentimes I want to immerse myself in something, but don't actually don't want to play right now.
I tend to be a bit negative, and a decent percentage of my Trope Additions are usually in that vein. Interestingly, I'm not Complaining About Shows I Don't Like, but rather Complaining About Things I Dont Like In Shows I Like. Tropes Are Not Bad, but Tropes can be done poorly.
I tend to get protective about my edits and additions. It ticks me off if they are purged casually. I only add something if I genuinely believe it.
I'm a nerd, but I'm fully aware that nerds (in general, and especially on the Internet) can usually be really really stupid.. I'm the guy pointing out what the average, everyday person thinks about the subject, not what people online say. Best Game Ever? No, sorry, nobody bought the thing, and nobody remembers it. I understand that my passions aren't well known, so I don't treat them as well known.
In many ways, I'm the Lowest Common Denominator in many of my hats. I'm a gamer that likes Electronic Arts games like The Sims or Spore. I liked Diablo more than Planescape: Torment. I thought Supreme Commander bit, because the lead guy's name means nothing to me.
My Great Big Ultimate Project is to do an article for my favorite radio call-in show, Boersand Bernstein.
Favorite TropesI have a selection of Favorite Tropes. You know, ones that I see in my daily life a lot. Here are a few:
