Uhhh, something I've noticed (i.e. stealed): A trope is not complete without an example from the following shows: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Warhammer40000, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Star Trek, possibly Death Note and Babylon Five (this is my subjective opinion :))
