* AdjustingYourGlasses: All over the place, depending on how I feel like adjusting them.
* AnnoyingLaugh/LaughingMad: Depends on who you ask. I have a bad tendency to burst into contagious laughter now and then. I've been trying to keep it more subdued though.

Characters are mostly recycled from Fergard's Souls with/without makeovers, but there's a couple new faces. The roster includes:
* 1. Marcus Remington - the main hero of the story, an easy-going teenager classified as "super-human" thanks to his supernatural control over elements. Add to that his proficiency with a katana and out comes a solid portrait of a moral protagonist figure. [[spoiler: The one of the two Children to survive.]]
* 2. Alexander Graham Payne - Marcus' rival, a mysterious young man with strange crimson cleaver-like blades. Keeping mostly to himself and with no known relatives he stumbles upon Marcus' party on occassion, but more often than not is their ally against a greater enemy. [[spoiler: The third and the last of the Children to die, at least technically.]]
* 3. Kathleen Galeforce - a well-meaning if somewhat snarky girl with control over powers of life that allow her to heal injuries, diseases and such. In theory it can bring back the dead, but Kathleen keeps to the motto of her family: Dead Need No Help. [[spoiler: The other of the two Children to survive.]]
* 4. Kimberly Ironfist - a martial artist with supernatural strength and a rather short temper. Always the first to jump into the fray and whenever she does, heads fly. [[spoiler: The sixth of the Children to die.]]
* 5. Milo Ratzberger - a suave card-dealing gunslinger that beneath his cowardly exterior is a warrior that never relents. Rather ineffective with ladies although he tries his best. [[spoiler: The fifth of the Children to die.]]
* 6. Samantha Kates - a petite girl of peculiarly calm disposition. [[spoiler: The second of the Children to die.]]
* 7. Tsuyoshi Ikeyama - a short-statured bully hunter as hot-blooded as the pits of the volcano. [[spoiler: The first of the Children to die.]]
* 8. Megumi Chishima - a graceful practitioner of Iaijutsu that's rather painfully awkward outside the battle. [[spoiler: The fourth of the Children to die.]]
* 9. Martin "Midnight" Hammerstone - a mysterious man that rules over the powers of the Abyss. [[spoiler: Or rather, is a mere extension of Abyss herself, the so called "prophet". He and by extension Abyss are the ancient evil that Children are destined to fight.]]
* 10. William Sherman - Midnight's right-hand man of unknown origin, also appointed The Second General of Alastor. [[spoiler: Works behind his back from the get-go to limit his ability to do harm. Is approached by Raguel and forms an alliance with her which comes to bite him once he realizes ''what'' she is.]]
* 11. Albrecht Kaiser - an undead mercenary wielding a giant zweihander.

* 18. Lilith - one of the original Luciferians and The Third General of Alastor, a fight-loving Succubus.
* 19. Dorian Blackwell - The Fourth General of Alastor, a man of mysterious origin that specializes in necromancy and taunting opponents left and right.
* 20. Forcas - the leader of Goetia and an ally of Alastor that acts as the former's advisor.
* 21. Gabriel - The Archangel of Miracles and the leader of High Council. A pretty nice guy.
* 22. Michael - The Archangel of War, a giant of a man with a peculiarly grim disposition. [[spoiler: Spites humans, deeming them responsible for "death" of God. Combined with High Council's inability to stop Alastor, he creates a renegade faction of Angels of War that makes it clear it will not spare anyone in their path. Later becomes an Abyss Knight, courtesy of Midnight's influence.]]
* 23. Akrasiel - The Archangel of Magic, a mild-mannered gentleman that is responsible for keeping various secrets, well, secret.
* 24. Uriel - The Archangel of Flames, a gung-ho pyromaniac sent in places where something needs to be ''wasted''. [[spoiler: Decides to tag alongside Michael into Angels of War once he's bored of inactivity, but ultimately defects after it's proven that Michael has became unreasonable and jumps back to Heavens.
* 25. Raphael - The Archangel of Healing, a grumpy and bitter man that was left disillusioned by [[WorldWarOne two]] [[WorldWarTwo wars]] too many.
* 26. Sammael - known also as The Poison of God and The Prosecuting Angel, this odd fellow is the true man in charge of Heavens although he usually prefers to keep the leadership to High Council. * 30. The Cause of Evil - ''something'' that has been lurking through the Earth since the dawn of time. Nobody knows what exactly is it or if it even exists in the first place, but it is responsible for two important details: the existence of undeath and [[spoiler: Lucifer's corruption.]]
* 31. Heidi Viha - a rage-filled girl whose parents and younger sister were taken away in a battle between Luciferians and Angels of War. To make matters worse, her father decided to call for aid of Abyssians to help the whole family survive. It backfired. She pilots a {{Mini Mecha}} and in battle is as fierce as she is merciless. [[spoiler: Half-succubus though she's not aware of this.]]
* 32. Colton "Crimson Viper" Ripple - a Canadian Air Force pilot shot down in some scuffle with Luciferians returned as a... [[{{Understatement}} somewhat unhinged]] undead. Pilots a giant chopper and is prone to mad laughing fits.

[[folder:Casper Stratoavis]]

''"Have you ever seen "Raiders Of The Lost Ark"?"''

The closest to a main character of this roster and something of an {{Author Avatar}}(I am ashamed). Of the legendary Stratoavis bloodline which gave us figures such as Szabla Stratoavis or Fergard Stratoavis the Fifth(further described), Casper believes that justice and law has to be spread, by force if necessary. Being highly cynical - for no real reason - and having a mean streak, he often gets at odds with other good-affiliated characters. Is able to go to great lengths to assure his victory, which almost cost him his own identity and sanity once. This teenaged phase of his life ends with his first victory over [[EvilCounterpart Nega]], who he destroyed via collective help of Daeva(further described) and Setsuna(a close friend, later girlfriend of his) while sealing away [[TheHeartless Creatures of the Abyss]], not to be tempted by using them ever again. Seemingly died at hands of Midnight via [[ImMelting face removal]]... but only temporarily. Daeva raised him back to an imitation of life, enhancing Casper's body and mind with additional powers, effectively rendering him much more powerful than before. The body did age though and at some point was held only in place by Daeva's powers. Watching all of his mortal friends die of old age was also an unpleasant penalty of being rendered effectively immortal. [[spoiler: Is called The Last Stratoavis for a reason. He also plays a key role in defeating Midnight during the time of The Last War, personally delivering the very same attack that he used back in a day when his old life as a mortal ended. Feeling like this is enough to call it a day, Casper asks Daeva to let go, effectively freeing them and crumbling into dust in process.]]

[[folder: Nega Casper]]

"''Basically? You and I are the same. I will never stop tormenting you and don't even bother asking why I do this. It's fun, fun watching you squirm and suffer. [[spoiler: Until your existence ends]], I will always be behind the corner, waiting.''"

The name says it all: Nega is an {{Evil Counterpart}} to Casper. It is not exactly known what his origins are. A theory speculated that he comes from an alternate dimension where priorities and moralities are an opposite to the ones we know, but no other "Negas" surfaced to confirm this. As such, Nega is exclusively related to Casper and Casper only. It seems his only cause to exist is to afflict as much torment on young Stratoavis as possible. He isn't present in Casper's life all the time, but every time he appears, said appearance is of utmost importance. [[spoiler: As it turns out during The Last War - which is the last time they crossed swords - Nega is revealed to be a twisted projection of Casper's mind with power enough to manifest itself and be physically possible. It can be locked for a set period of time, but never truly defeated until its owner dies.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Amadeo "Night Shooter" Nocturne]]

A skull demon given sentience and free will, N.Shooter started his rather ambitious career as a bloodhound for The Dark Reaper himself as means of gratitude. Once The Cause of Evil decided to back out of actively influencing the world, N.Shooter joined ranks of Purgatory Regiments once again, this time as a free, independent unit. Christened "Madman of Inferno", Amadeo would take on missions that only the dumbest or the bravest of Luciferians would try, overcoming his enemies with his raw power, cunning and unpredictability. Never truly under control of Lucifer's Generals - and later, Alastor's, N.Shooter remained free to do as he pleased as long as he didn't actively oppose Purgatory. Formed "Team Inferno" alongside Porcupine and Chaos which remained an elite team worth more than a regiment of mindless Luciferians. [[spoiler: After Operation Genesis the three got separated and wandered the Earth on their own. They had eventually met up during the time of The Last War, but due to various circumstances, Team Inferno fell apart when both Porcupine and Chaos died(and hands of N.Shooter and Porcupine himself respectively). Losing only two people he considered "friends", he defects to join Earth's Defense Forces under banner of Albrecht Kaiser and remains on Earth after The Last War.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Porcupine]]

What was once an ordinary Commando Demon became Porcupine through an unholy amount of experiments directed by Forcas. In search of finding a more powerful brand of soldiers for Lucifer and later Alastor - as well as quenching his own boredom at least for a while - The Prince of Alchemy decided to [[spoiler: mix Luciferians with Creatures of the Abyss]], yearning for the most optimal effect. Suffice to say, it went a little too well: Porcupine broke free and escaped to the plane of mortals, trying to find his way in the world. Encountering nothing but contempt and hatred for his kind, the misunderstood demon slowly fell into apathy and hostility before finally snapping and going on a brief bloodstained rampage. Stopped by Night Shooter, Porcupine was offered a place in freshly-forming Team Inferno where he could have an actual purpose in life. Porcupine reluctantly agreed and has been in Alastor's servitude since. [[spoiler: After Operation Genesis all connections to Purgatory and Hell were severed, his half-heritage as an Abyssian is exploited by Midnight who slowly converts him on his side. This culminates in Porcupine killing Chaos and joining Midnight's Knights of the Abyss. Dies from N.Shooter's hand, boiled alive via hottest of {{Hellfire}}s.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Chaos]]

One of the oldest "second-generation" Luciferians and one of the few with a free will(just like N.Shooter and Porcupine), Chaos used to live a fairly unremarkable life or rather, as much of an unremarkable life as a Luciferian on the front lines can live. Being blessed with free will and an ability to think properly however allowed him to use his ingenuity and opportunism to overcome his opponents in a battle. He had a certain apparatus montaged in place of his hands, acting like a small armory. He can turn his metal hands into either chainswords, flamethrowers or primitive rocket launchers, giving him an edge of {{Confusion Fu}}. As the sanest of Team Inferno's members, he is usually the voice of reason and the one who consults the plans. [[spoiler: After their breakup after Operation Genesis they form a team once more, but this time Porcupine had already lost it to his mixed heritage and kills Chaos not long after.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Albrecht "The Scavenger" Kaiser]]

Once a talented, but nameless German warrior, Albrecht received fatal injuries in a duel against Szabla Stratoavis who he boastfully challenged, confident with his swordsmanship. During his last breaths, an adept of necromancy that was watching the battle offered young warrior a second chance. The deal was simple: Albrecht was to be turned into a vampire and for that he would be necromancer's servant. Kaiser didn't think much of it and slaughtered his savior quickly after being "revived", eliminating the prospect of servitude. As it turned out however, the necromancer didn't quite do the job properly, turning Albrecht into a ghoul with vampire's features. Kaiser didn't think much of it either and used his new power accordingly, powering himself with a raw, bloodied meat of his fallen enemies(which earned him a moniker of The Scavenger). As a ruthless, cruel monster of a man he continued his rampage until The Hundred Years War where he clashed against no one other than {{Joan of Arc}}. Though she deprived him of his left eye, she had spared his existence, despite being able to destroy him. This initiated a slow, but sure change in Albrecht's cold heart. He closed to his lost humanity, though never lost his ability to fight. Present day, he is a part of the mercenary squad alongside Allistair Rasmunsen, Murphy Greenblade, Veronica Greenblade and Sonia Flayer. [[spoiler: During the time of The Last War he took an unofficial command of Earth's Defense Forces and led them relatively well through the conflict, allying with Heavens and being on the victorious side.]]

Tropes applying: TBA [[/folder]]

[[folder: Allistair Rasmunsen]]

An undead mercenary of unknown origins, Allistair came to light of fame by being the one responsible for an assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and initiating World War One because of this(though he made sure to shift the blame on Black Hand). Since then, he rose in ranks of so-called Mercenary Guild, loosely hierarchic organization of hired swords and guns. By the end of the twentieth century, Allistair achieved Top 3 and stayed there until Guild was unofficially disbanded at the beginning of Operation Genesis. Washed-out and cynical, Rasmunsen has little regard for morality, dignity or human life. However, after Operation Genesis he loses a lot of his meaning, since there is no one really who can hire him. [[spoiler: Served pretty much everyone at some point during the time of The Last War. He vanished into thin air after the conflict was resolved and no one knows about his current whereabouts.]]

Tropes applying: TBA [[/folder]]

[[folder: Murphy Greenblade]]

Praised for his versatility and street smarts, but criticized for his hair-trigger temper and his addiction, Murphy is a part of the mercenary team alongside Albrecht, Allistair, Veronica - his niece - and Sonia. Being a {{Jack Of All Trades}}, he fits in where other, highly specialized members have trouble keeping up. Thanks to a rare skin disease, he resembles a rotting corpse(though he's quick to assure you he's not an undead), though it doesn't really impair him much apart from making him look ugly as sin. Addicted to a custom brew of drugs and chemicals he himself makes, it's a miracle he is able to think and move on his alone, let alone manage stunts of a mercenary. Highly protective of his niece. KIA in 2036.

Tropes applying: TBA [[/folder]]

[[folder: Veronica Greenblade]]

A cheerful niece of Murphy Greenblade, she's a part of mercenary team alongside her uncle, Albrecht, Allistair and Sonia. Orphaned at the age of eleven by both of her parents, victims of Eleventh of September and raised by her more distant family, she managed to keep her optimistic nature. Training a usage of nunchuk since eight, she became a very skilled - albeit hardly experienced - combatant, combining her technical prowess and almost superhuman agility. She met Sonia in 2010 and the two friends slowly warmed up to become a couple. Their love was strong enough to withstand long years until Veronica finally passed away due to old age.

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Sonia Flayer]]

Full name Sonia Heather Richardson-Flayer. Born in a wealthy British family, Sonia's childhood was relatively boring noble life... until her sixteenth birthday. German Blitzkrieg caught her and her parents right in France. Evacuating, she lost trace of both of them and didn't manage to escape in time. Unsure of what to do, she was eventually caught by certain branch of Gestapo responsible for getting subjects for an unusual Project Ubermensch directed by Ezekiel Goldbaum. Putting it simply, project's goal was to create artificial superhumans with fixed powers rather than letting nature do its own thing. Apart from getting various powers, it also involved changing their appearance into "Aryan" one, as well as indoctrinating subjects caught and presenting them to Nazi propaganda. Sonia spent two years being brutally experimented on and somehow resisting the pain, misery and brainwashing through sheer willpower and hope. At the end of that period, project was said to be canceled due to Reich's financial difficulties and a need for additional money for fielding more forces against incoming Red Storm. Subjects that weren't killed earlier were now shot, one after another. She, left as the last one, managed to free herself on time and repay her tortures tenfold, including Goldbaum himself whom she carved open and hung on the entrance of his very secret lab before departing. Technically immortal and forever young, she was traversing the world without a purpose and that close to insanity. Then... she met Veronica. Thanks to her help and guidance, Sonia finally managed to find peace and... a person she loved. Naturally, Veronica's death hit her hard as she reverted back to her old ways. [[spoiler: Midnight throughly exploited it, making her one of the four Knights of Abyss during the time of The Last War alongside Porcupine, Areus and Michael. Thankfully, she managed to survive the whole ordeal thanks to dedication of Albrecht and Veronica's Soul. After The Last War she lived for a couple more years before beginning to age very rapidly. Her mind breaking for the umpteenth time now just needed a nail to the coffin this degeneration was. Unable to cope with lack of Veronica by her side and this little thing, she commits suicide, managing to rejoin Veronica years after her penance back in Heavens.]]

[[folder: Himler Gunsche]]

Started his career in SA, Himler quickly made his way through the ranks of Nazi military and became a Captain in Wehrmacht. A brilliant commander and leader, quite adored by simple rank-and-file, but looked down by older, less action-inclined officers. A firm Nazi believer back in a day, when he used to justify Holocaust as eliminating the necessary weakest link. "If they can't defend themselves, this means they're weak and worthy only of elimination", quoting the man. His tactical prowess was noticed by Lucifer who tasked Forcas with arranging some sort of accident. Gunsche, now dead and in Hell, was made a leader of new, war-related formation that was later christened "Damonisch SS". Through the years and without any propaganda to further wash his brain, he slowly became disillusioned and aware of the lies of his previous "religion", especially seeing how Third Reich lost the war in the end after all and dropped it. His true tactical prowess was recognized by Alastor, Lucifer's successor and former right-hand who made him First General, initiating the creation of new officer caste. Himler, regaining his soldier's morals through the years, but bound to Alastor's servitude, became a loyal, albeit reluctant right-hand himself. Combating Heavens' forces with his army and sometimes intervening back on Earth, he served loyally until [[spoiler: Operation Genesis. The carnage Alastor's forces left on Earth disgusted him to the point he began cooperating with Archangel Gabriel in his plan of gathering what's left of humanity and allowing them to begin again from a metropolis built by the Angels. Locked alongside other demons at the end of Operation Genesis, he returned back, this time back under Lucifer's command for the Last War. This time, he kept his loyalty fully, though obviously he lacked the bloodlust many rank-and-file Luciferians possessed. After The War, he was assigned, alongside Damonisch SS, as unofficial lawkeeper, keeping the remaining Purgatory Regiments under his key, a position he gladly accepted.]]

Tropes applying: TBA [[/folder]]

[[folder: Ezekiel Goldbaum]]

Of Jewish origin, Goldbaum was surprisingly willing to cooperate with Nazi scientists, being a biologist himself. According to his explanation back in the day, it was the only way he could conduct certain experiments that would normally have ethics questions attached to them and that he never felt too connected to the rest of his slaughtered kin. As a head of Project Ubermensch, he was the one truly responsible for making Sonia into what she is now. He earned his death fully and that would be supposedly the end of Goldbaum's story... if not for the fact that his remains were retrieved by Himler Gunsche who was already in Lucifer's servitude. Given a rather special treatment, Goldbaum was reanimated as a rather peculiar branch of undead: while sentient and fully capable of abstract thinking, he was left in a hideous form of a mangled zombie(that he learned to accept and use against his opponents anyway, by strangling them with his entrails, for example). Made a right-hand of Himler, Goldbaum became responsible for recovering fallen Damonisch SS soldiers as well as leading its branch of air forces. Before Team Inferno, he was also official "demolition person" to send in places where normal demons would have fallen by now. Feared and respected by his legendary tenacity and refusal to just die, Goldbaum also has a few more sinister powers up his sleeve. Even after his death, he takes special interest in Sonia and wishes to clash with her in battle to see if his project really lived up to his expectations. [[spoiler: Through Operation Genesis he is the one to kill Uriel and Raphael. Just like Himler, he returns for The Last War, still loyal to his superior and still his right-hand.]]

[[folder: Melchior "Midnight" Herald]]

It isn't quite sure how did the being we know today as Midnight rose to power back in a day. Supposedly, he was a dwarf back when he was still a human. It was never explained how did he manage to get a hold on his powers and Midnight himself never bother to explain either. The thing that was certain that one day a black creature emerged from the ruined church in France. Largely unknown, Midnight decided to made himself famous as well as put his... freshly acquired powers to some interesting use. [[spoiler: He's the one directly responsible for Eleventh of September, having brainwashed terrorists hijacking the planes who originally only wished to attack The Pentagon.]] This, and Lilith's capture in 2005 made him noticeable enough for Alastor to step in and offer a position as Second General, the position which Midnight accepted. Until Operation Genesis, he served as a specialist for breaking and mending minds as he seemed fit, gathering a small group of elite servants to do his bidding. He also isn't afraid to get his hands dirty himself and often appears in mortals' plane himself, making him an oddity amongst Generals. [[spoiler: After Operation Genesis he wasn't banished like the other Alastor's forces on courtesy of not being demon himself. That's when Abyss' influence came into play, slowly severing what little ties with his humanity he had and awakening his memories of the incident that gave him powers: he was thrown into Abyss itself and as a mortal it affected him vastly differently than those who were supposed to visit this place. He came into contact with Angels of Death which were said to represent God's wrath and as such were locked here, to be released for Ragnarok to be the key instrument in bringing the world to ashes. Since God died way long before supposed end of the world, Angels of Death were essentially locked in Abyss forever. Midnight had managed to get a hold of them as well as absorbing enough of the wasted souls of the Abyss to become what he was. He stays in hiding and reappears to the outside world just in time for The Last War, forming his own faction. Her manages to brainwash four particular characters - Porcupine, Sonia, Areus and Michael - to turn them into Knights of the Abyss, his top enforcers and commanders of Abyssians' forces. Fanatically loyal to Abyss, referring to it as "My Lady". A major force successfully obstructing both Heavens and Purgatory Regiments he is ultimately taken down by Casper Stratoavis.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Forcas]]

An ancient Goetian - a larger community of multiple types of Old Demons that pledged their loyalty to Lucifer - with an alchemist/scientist streak, Forcas is... bored. Acting as an advisor for Lucifer and Alastor, as well as being an unofficial leader of the main branch of Purgatory Regiments, he takes little interest in common affairs, preferring to just study and kill time that way. His leadership skills are legendarily awful and he's well aware of that, usually passing the leadership either to Himler(who is definitely not happy to see additional forces to babysit) or Chaos(when he's not on a Team Inferno mission). He would be an actual nice guy if not for his horrible lack of understanding of morals. Concepts of good and evil fly right over Forcas' head and are replaced with "interesting" or "boring". He has no friends not because he's a repulsive being, but because he... doesn't get the meaning of a "friend". [[spoiler: He commandeered the creation of Porcupine. Just as other Purgatory Regiments' forces he is locked after Operation Genesis and returns for The Last War, as indifferent as ever.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Jarema Wiśniowiecki]]

Once a successful Polish commander, remains of Jarema Wiśniowiecki were made displayable for the public back in a day. That's where he was retrieved by Goldbaum, reanimated and brainwashed into thinking he's serving Heavens rather than the devil himself. Made Revenant just like Himler and Goldbaum(although he kept his original remains' body), he was put in position of Fourth General, commanding undead forces of Legion of Virgin Mary. Constantly supervised by Himler, Jarema is basically a puppet in his hands, using his forces as a first line and often as the cannon fodder(except for feared and respected Hussars). Never backing down and with a big sense of honor, Jarema is a man of action, not words. Though often ridiculed by many characters for his brainwashing, no one really take steps in averting the bad charm. [[spoiler: Locked alongside other Purgatory Regiments after Operation Genesis and returns for The Last Time, initially on Lucifer's side. However, Akrasiel manages to pull a few switches and reveal a bitter truth to Jarema. Forever stained by shame, he and his legion joins Heavens' side and further cements his "redemption" by curbing a large part of the main force(incidentally led by Forcas at that point) and "dying" in the process.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Areus Harbinger]]

An Angel of Powers' Choir, Areus was originally assigned with protecting a certain mortal with exceptional anti-undead powers that could come in handy against Lucifer's forces. Unfortunately for him, he went head over heels for her and decided to disobey the orders and take the girl away. Stopped by Albrecht and girl's love interest, he was forced to flee and eventually caught by Heavens' authorities. Originally to be killed, he went through "Mene Tekel Fares" instead. This procedure strips the victim off their skin, as well as half-boiling their eyes(they can still see, but the vision is lightly blurred and just looking a while longer causes pain) and mauling the wings to the point they are rendered unusable for flying. Years later, Areus returns from his exile as a bitter, but still loyal shell of a man and wishes to make himself useful. Incidentally, Team Paradiso - Heavens' response for Team Inferno - was being formed right now. This coincidence gave Areus a new purpose, a role and a leadership in the team. Ill-tempered and crass, he cares little for subtleties and is ''way'' too prideful for his own good. [[spoiler: Shortly after Operation Genesis he is locked inside Heavens alongside the vast majority, Gabriel's decision because of Sammael's sudden disappearance. Over the years, he begins sympathizing with Michael's cause and joins freshly-formed Angels of War just before forcing the gates open and leaving Heavens. By the time of The Last War, Michael's brainwashing, hatred hidden over all these centuries and the fatal pride Areus always held finally turns against him: he's easily swayed by Midnight and becomes his first Knight of the Abyss. However, this still does not eliminate his pride which turns fatal for him when Logan shoots off his freshly-regenerated wings and finishes him with a few swift movements. Supposedly comes back for round two as full-blown Abyssian, but is ultimately destroyed by Heidi's hand.]]

[[folder: Rudiger "Silber" Ritter]]

A being of unknown origin with several theories regarding its emergence. Some say it's a Luciferian who turned against his masters and became a soldier of God. Others say it's a construct filled with magic, with clear instructions regarding destruction of all evil it comes across. Until its recruitment into Team Paradiso it wandered around blindly, punishing lawbreakers, criminals and similar shady bunch, often paying little attention to what the crime in question was, executing petty pickpockets and unrepentant murderers alike. Under supervision of Natanael it managed to mellow down a little in terms of punishing everyone it deemed as criminal equally though it had moments of cold indifference that were christened as "battle amok". [[spoiler: Shortly after Operation Genesis it's on board when Heavens get closed. Through the years of staying put, it slowly became more inclined to support Areus and initially appeared as the ally of Angels of War during the time of The Last War. However, thanks to Natanael's influence and a number of events happening - including Areus and Michael giving in to Midnight's temptations - it ultimately re-joined forces of Heavens alongside Natanael.]]

Tropes applying: TBA[[/folder]]

[[folder: Natanael Joseph Talon]]

One of the few of the older generation of angels, created by God himself(called Origin Angels), that remained on the side of good, Natanael is... quirky. Appearing like a humanoid dog in pirate get-up, he seems like anything but competent. You, however, don't become a part of Team Paradiso by being merely quirky. Natanael, while not being a leader - this goes to Areus - is definitely the most powerful of the three and is also characterized by being one of the few beings in the universe Sammael trusts. Not quite inclined on dealing law wherever he goes, he manages to calm Areus down as well as temper Ritter a little bit, making a great addition to the team. He's also a seasoned combatant and can easily fend off multiple Luciferians at once. [[spoiler: Unlike the other two, Natanael stayed loyal to Heavens after their lockdown and Sammael's sudden departure, knowing fully that Gabriel is more than competent to keep this whole thing together, even without Michael. By the time of The Last War he leads Celestial Legions in place of Michael and doing a damn good job while he's at it.]]

IN CONSTRUCTION

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Uriel, The Archangel of Flame]]

Note: Heaven's local {{One Man Army}} in case Team Paradiso screws up badly. Being a complete sociopath at fight and an obnoxious prankster outside of it, he's loathed by both demons and angels alike. He's still respected for his incredible fighting ability, rivaled only by few. Naturally, given his title, he tends to use fire as one of his forte. [[spoiler: Killed by Goldbaum in 2090.]] Would be voiced by {{Tomokazu Sugita}} amd {{Reuben Langdon}}.

Tropes applying to Uriel:
* AntiHero - Slides between types III and V. Means well and is an affable guy outside of battle(disregarding pranks), he sometimes goes a little too off his rocker.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking - Is one of the Five Command Archangels(alongside Gabriel, Michael, Rafael and Raziel) and happens to be one of the dangerous residents of Heaven. Actually subverted, as he doesn't have that much of an authority to begin with.
* BadassLongHair - [[WhatDoYouMeanItsNotAwesome They're also covered with ashes of his victims.]]
* CoolShades
* FireBreathingWeapon - Fire breathing shotgun, to be precise. He prefers hand-to-hand combat and creative usage of flints installed in his gloves and heels though.
* KillItWithFire - Where to start...? He has flints in gloves and heels, so he can simply ignite enemies with enough impact of the attack. There are also numerous bottles of petrol under his leather jacket, multiple matches, some explosives, a little bit of thermite etc.
* LightningBruiser - Moves unusually fast, hits like a truck and happens to use that fire of his a little too much.
* ManOnFire - Boy does he loves it! He and his belongings are completely fireproof, so he has no qualms about igniting himself just to make things even worse for his enemy.
* RedBaron - He's called "Archangel of Flame" for some reason.
* SmokingIsCool - Constantly smokes Montecristo cigars. Constantly. [[RunningGag Sometimes accidentally ignites his covered-in-petrol wings.]] [[/folder]]

[[folder: Gabriel, The Archangel of Miracles]]

note: Only second in terms of goodness after Metatron, Gabriel is a laid-back fellow who reasons as the most down-to-earth and most affable out of Archangels. [[spoiler: At the time of Last War though he proves that {{Good Is Not Soft}} if necessary.]] Would be voiced by {{Akira Ishida}}.

Tropes applying to Gabriel:
* GoodIsNotSoft - [[spoiler: Stands as a leader of Heaven during the time of The Last War.]]
* HairOfGold - To a lesser degree than Metatron, but it's still there.
* OnlySaneMan - Let's see: Uriel is a sociopathic pyromaniac, Michael is a grumpy soldier [[spoiler:and no less crazy]], Akrasiel speaks with riddles and is wrapped with mysteries and Rafael is a sardonic jackass.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Michael, The Archangel of War]]

Note: A giant hulk of an angel, towers anyone else in the roster. Also happens to be a leader of Heaven's army. Grumpy, doesn't speak much and generally prefers to do his job instead of gloating. ''Hates'' humans [[spoiler: and [[ApocalypseHow this is the hatred which is the reason Operation Genesis ended up so spectacularly.]] Midnight uses it later to brainwash him into his servitude.]] Would be voiced by {{Joji Nakata}}.

Tropes applying to Michael:
* [[spoiler: AxCrazy]]
* BaldOfAwesome -> [[spoiler: BaldOfEvil]]
* {{BFG}} - His weapon of choice is a giant scimitar with five spikes on the edge.
* {{BFS}} - There's also [[GatlingGood Vulcan minigun with seven barrels]], took from some plane. Its calibre is ''20 mm.'' [[BottomlessMagazines It doesn't seem to run out of ammo]] [[OhCrap as well.]]
* CoatCape - Wears his General jacket like that.
* LargeAndInCharge - Is a colossal juggernaut, having almost three meters of height. Runner-up Xipanticus has ''2.5 meters'' in comparision. Third Night Shooter has ''2.2 meters.''
* RazorWings - Made of metal.
* TheQuietOne - Doesn't say much, leaving the talking to others. [[spoiler: When he snaps, however, he becomes surprisingly talkative.]] [[/folder]]

[[folder: Akrasiel, The Archangel of Magic]]

Note: Soft-spoken, very polite and charming, this little guy is also ruthless, manipulative and cunning enough to anticipate many moves of Alastor's hordes. He can go to great lengths in this one, even if it means sacrificing something or someone in the name of Greater Good. Humans interest him little, although he doesn't exactly dislike them. Would be voiced by {{Daisuke Ono}}.

Tropes applying to Akrasiel:
* AntiMagic - His main shtick(apart from [[TimeMaster Chronomancy]]) and the reason why he's so dangerous.
* BadassBookworm
* RedOniBlueOni - Blue Oni to Sigma's Red.
* SharpDressedMan - Always in a black suit with a red tie.
* ShorterMeansSmarter - He stands at measly ''1.54 meters'', but is, without a doubt, the smartest out of Five Archangels.
* TimeMaster - He's the greatest Chronomancer to exist on Earth and its adjacent planes although he uses it mostly as a last resort. [[/folder]]

[[folder: Rafael, The Archangel of Cures]]

Note: Grump, sarcastic and sardonic to the bone, Rafael has been broken by First and Second World War when all he could do is to watch in terror as humans slay each other, everything based on Crystal Law. Since that day, he tends to care little about others' feelings, although he still watches over humans. [[spoiler: Killed by Goldbaum in 2093.]]

Tropes applying to Rafael:
* BrokenBird - The fact he was unable to do ''anything'' during both World Wars left him as a sardonic, cynical jackass.
* DespairEventHorizon - The aforementioned helplessness during both World Wars.
* SourSupporter [[/folder]]

[[folder: Kimberly Ironfist]]

Note: A friend of Casper from times of high school and early adulthood, she's as butch as you can get: Agressive, prone to violence and sometimes ''very'' bitchy. There's however a second side of the coin, a shy, insecure girl who hides her weaknesses with agression. That being said, she's a very dangerous opponent who mastered her {{Super Strength}} and {{Good Old Fisticuffs}} to near-perfection mark. Would be voiced by {{Maryke Hendrikse}}.

Tropes applying to Kim:
* AwesomeMcCoolname - Arguable, but ''Kim Ironfist''?
* BareFistedMonk - Uses no weapons and allows her strength and technique to do the talking.
* BigBreastsBigDeal - Type III. She couldn't care less about her assets. [[spoiler: She can easily turn into Type I if a person she loves is nearby with her alone though.]]
* BoobsOfSteel
* EmbarrassingMiddleName - Kimblery ''Rebecca Lily Marion'' Ironfist. [[BerserkButton Never call her by her full name.]]
* HotBlooded
* LightningBruiser
* MadeOfIron - Can take many seemingly mortal wounds with ease and keep on fighting.
* {{Tomboy}} - Is not very girly.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Marcus Aftermath]]

Note: ''The'' {{Decoy Protagonist}}, he possesses most qualities of a hero: Powerful with his {{Elemental Powers}} and katana mastery, reasonable, fairly intelligent and handsome. And yet, he is often ridiculed by Casper for numerous reasons, ranging from his short height(which actually isn't all that short), large ears and cases of complete obliviousness to his surroundings, which almost [[spoiler: cost two lives. Later on gets married with Kate and has two kids from it.]] Would be voiced by {{Jun Fukuyama}}.

Tropes applying to Marcus:
* DecoyProtagonist - Possesses all qualities {{The Hero}} should have... [[spoiler: Then, Casper gets his face melted and he sort of disappears.]]
* ElementalPowers - Of all four elements, combined into something named "Tetra".
* KatanasAreJustBetter - Uses one as his weapon.
* NiceGuy
* WideEyedIdealist - [[DeconstructedTrope Which gets used against him more than once.]][[/folder]]

[[folder: Kathleen Windsdaughter]]

Note: {{Silk Hiding Steel}} at its best, although with a touch of wittiness and irony, Kate is a gifted healer, able to cure the heaviest of wounds in mere minutes, going even as far as to revive the fallen ones. To protect herself, she uses a power given to all members of her family, control over wind. [[spoiler: Later gets married with Marcus and has two kids from it.]] Would be voiced by {{Yui Horie}}.

Tropes applying to Kate:
* BackFromTheDead - She can pull this off although it's a very risky maneuverer, as it not only attracts Necromancer.
* BlowYouAway - Par course of being a Windsdaughter.
* BrainyBrunette
* HealingHands - She tries her best to avoid attracting Necromancer's attention, so she restricts the usage of her healing ability to absolutely necessary moments.
* PetitePride[[/folder]]

[[folder: Michael Rattenberger]]

Note: Not really aware of his surroundings, obnoxious, cowardly and with a weird taste of fashion, Rattenberger is a resident {{Death Dealer}} who's able to summon reinforcements from a mere deck of cards. While he usually runs from the danger first, he shouldn't be underestimated as his {{Crouching Moron Hidden Badass}} aura can kick in when his or his friends' lives are threatened. [[RunningGag Oh, and he's not short.]] Would be voiced by {{Daisuke Hirakawa}}.

Tropes applying to Rattenberger:
* AntiHero - Type I.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass - May look like a bumbling idiot, but pushed enough can easily hold his own alone.
* TheHyena - Once he starts laughing, you will beg he'll stop soon.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold - Can be a total dick sometimes, but deep down cares down for his friends and values.
* LovableCoward
* TheNapoleon - Minus "agressive" part, he ''doesn't'' like being short.
* NiceHat - Toxically green top hat with an inscription "I'm not short". And it can extend on its own as well.
* PluckyComicRelief
* RevolversAreJustBetter - Uses Colt Anaconda.
* SharpDressedMan - If you're willing to accept his ''garishly green'' suit, that is.
* SummonMagic - That's what his cards do.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Daeva of Spira, "The Spellspinner"]]

Note: An extremely powerful and ancient demon from times before The Catastrophe, Daeva was bind to every Stratoavis that existed [[spoiler: with two exceptions of Fergard Stratoavis the Fifth and Szabla Stratoavis.]] With a twisted sense of humor and large enthusiasm to cause some ruckus, he's also a wise and reasonable guy. [[spoiler: Is able to sustain Casper's soul after he got hit with Angels of Death and do so for a ''long'' time, as well as supporting him with a vast array of powers.]]

Tropes applying to Daeva:
* OurDemonsAreDifferent - He's an Old Demon from before [[WorldWreckingWave The Catastrophe]], able to control Chaos Magic with ease. Might be only slightly younger than [[TimeAbyss Dark Reaper]].
* PerpetualSmiler - Disturbingly so.
* TimeAbyss[[/folder]]

[[folder: Xipanticus]]

Note: While not as powerful or as ancient as Daeva, Xipanticus is still an enemy one shouldn't underestimate under any circumstances. This demon is a mindless, monstrous and enormous pile of meat, designed only to turn every battlefield and every opponent(or even ally) on it into mince meat. [[spoiler: After Casper got hit with Angels of Death, he's able to leave at Casper's will and fight by his side, although he listens to his "owner".]]

Tropes applying to Xipanticus:
* NatureSpirit - Implied to be a demon directly related to nature.
* OurDemonsAreDifferent - Is also an Old Demon which speaks volumes about diversity of those.
* TheGrotesque - Looks like a horrible amalgamation of gorilla, crocodile, porcupine and bear.
* UnstoppableRage - His default setting. [[/folder]]

[[folder: Logan]]

Note: One of the youngest "old demons", Logan is a mercenary with swift moves and quick, fatal wakizashi slashes. Regards the world as a boring place and usually pays little to no attention to other people's lives. Actually, pays little to no attention to ''many'' things. However, there's still a heart of gold under that carapace which ultimately [[spoiler: puts her on the side of good guys at times of Last War]]. Would be voiced by {{Ayako Kawasumi}} and {{Amanda Winn Lee}}.

Tropes applying to Logan:

* BigBreastsBigDeal - Type 3. Couldn't care less.
* GunsAkimbo
* HornedHumanoid - Has small ivory horns.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold - Usually pays little to absolutely no attention to people around her unless she's paid for it. In those rare times, however...
* KatanasAreJustBetter - Has a wakizashi which she uses with almost flawless efficiency.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter - Uses [[GunsAkimbo two]] Rangers.
* StatuesqueStunner - Stands at 1.85 meters, being the tallest woman in the roster.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Crimson Viper]]

Note: [[StreetFighter Not that Crimson Viper.]] A helicopter pilot, shot down by [[{{Iji}} Komato]] and mysteriously ressurrected with much bigger amount of persistence, cynism and insanity. Regards the world as a big fun(and by "fun" he means screams of burned enemies or blowing up stuff in general), although is a {{Nice Guy}} at "heart"(even if a sociopathic and crazy one).

Tropes applying to C.Viper:
* AceCustom - His {{Black Helicopter}}.
* AcePilot - Of Steamroller variety. Justified in that he uses helicopter instead of jet fighter which trades maneuverability for firepower.
* CoolHelmet - Complete with {{Cool Shades}}.
* DemBones
* [[HiddenEyes Hidden Sockets]] - Courtesy of him wearing his {{Cool Shades}} all the time. Nobody has seen C.Viper without his helmet and nobody knows what his "eye" color is... If there is any.
* LaughingMad - Prone to this.
* MacrossMissileMassacre
* TheUndead[[/folder]]

[[folder: Max Luck]]

Note: {{Punny Name}} aside, you can't kill this guy. It seems there's a ridiculous amount of luck this guy has. That being said, the man himself lacks common sense by an order of magnitude and had managed to earn his place in Top 50 Mercenaries only on a behalf of being {{Fearless Fool}}.

Tropes applying to Max:
* BadassNormal - Disregarding his luck.
* '''''BornLucky''''' - This man survives things that would kill people infinitely more skilled than him only because Fate apparently likes him that much.
* GeniusBruiser - Surprisingly, he's quite intelligent.
* MultiRangedMaster - Can operate every modern gun imaginable, from assault rifles to sniper rifles, with ease.
* TooDumbToLive - Frequently. [[BerserkButton He once broke N.Shooter's shotgun]] and survived only because Logan [[BigDamnHeroes appeared to save the day.]]
* ViolationOfCommonSense - ''All over the place.''[[/folder]]

[[folder: Dark Reaper, "The Cause of Evil"]]

Note: Perhaps ''the'' oldest and ''the'' most powerful thing on Earth that was already old and powerful when [[spoiler: God made his entrance.]] The creator of "Old Demons", used to be a serious rival to Lucifer(and later, Alastor), but decided to fall back into his domain for unknown reasons. N.Shooter describes him as a "hammy and cheerful guy", but, given that [[CloudCuckoolander it was N.Shooter]] who made this statement, nobody really knows...

Tropes applying to Dark Reaper:
* AffablyEvil - If N.Shooter is anything to go by.
* AllPowerfulBystander
* AsLongAsThereIsEvil - Dark Reaper is satiated by evil deeds of all kinds. Since sentient races are more than prone to those, he can just sit and enjoy himself.
* DiabolusExMachina - [[spoiler: He's the one responsible for warping Lucifer into bad guy and Hell into [[JustForPun hellhole.]] ]]
* ForTheEvulz - Considering he satiates himself with evil, it makes sense.
* TheOmnipotent
* TimeAbyss - Old and powerful in comparison to [[spoiler: God, Samael and Metatron who ''themselves are also {{Time Abyss}}es.]]''[[/folder]]

[[folder: Sigma]]

Note: The first(and, as later estabilished, only) member of Angelian Air Force, this girl is devoted to ideals of Heaven and Akrasiel, being his top enforcer. An elite warrior, a bit of a witty pottymouth, despites Areus. [[spoiler: As it turned out, shutting down The Gates of Heaven with her outside]] left her a bit scarred and bitter, although she got better later on.

Tropes applying to Sigma:
* AmbiguouslyBrown
* BladeBelowTheShoulder - Doubles as {{Dual Wielding}}.
* CoolShades - Orange ones.
* RedOniBlueOni - Red Oni to Akrasiel' Blue.
* ShoulderCannon - Two actually: Miniature rocket launcher and a machine gun.
* SpyCatsuit - A white one.
* WhiteHairedPrettyGirl[[/folder]]

[[folder: Heidi]]

Note: Rage-filled teenage girl. Lost each member of her family via doing of Luciferians, Angels and Creatures of Abyss. Vowing to completely get rid of all three factions and any signs of magic, she salvaged a prototype mini-mech that never got into work due to superiority of biomachinery, fixed it up with help of Crimson Viper, dusted it off and armed it.

Tropes applying to Heidi:
* AntiHero: Type IV. She's not a bad person, but her grim dedication to butcher every single demon, angel or abyssian puts her at odds with certain people.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette
* IHaveManyNames: All three sides give her other nicknames: "{{The Butcher}}" from Luciferians(and by extension, Old Demons), "Collector of Wings" from Angels and "Child of Hatred" from [[spoiler: Midnight.]] Others tend to give her derogatory nicknames like "Pipsqueak" or "Oil Monkey". C.Viper is the only one that ever addresses her by her real name.
* ImpossiblyCoolWeapon: Her mech's main weapon is a giant metal mace with a spiked dream-catcher as the head.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: Heidi's ranged option is to send dozens of mini-rockets at the enemy.
* MiniMecha: Is a size of one and a half grown men.
* TeenGenius: She didn't quite build up that mech, but she still maintains it and rides it flawlessly.
* YoungGun: Carries three pistols with her with bullets specifically against all three races and has a deceptively quick draw. Still uses them mostly for self-defense without her mech or as a last resort.

[[folder: Necromancer]]

Note: A golem made by an anonymous scientist and one of the greatest inventions of biotechnology. Originally was intended to get rid of paranoid scientist's colleagues, but because of his death before inserting correct instructions, Necromancer now wanders around the globe, looking for those who violate "The Equilibrium". Impossible to stop, destroy and often even scratch, it just plunders through enemy's lines, usually paying them no mind.

Tropes applying to Necromancer:
* CyberCyclops
* TheDreaded - A mere mention of him is enough to send many people running in sheer terror.
* ImplacableMan - Even if you'll be able to do sufficient damage to stop him, he will just shift into standby mode and slowly regain all of his strength.
* MachineMonotone
* MadeOfIndestructium - No, really.
* PerpetualMotionMonster - [[AvertedTrope Not really.]] He requires to recharge every once in a while and does so via {{Vampiric Draining}}, usually on some poor animal.
* UnstableEquilibrium - That's what he tries to stop and seeks people violating this rule. Violations that count are Chronomancy, raising people back from dead(but not necromancy), {{Reality Warper}} actions and so on.[[/folder]]

[[folder: YMIR]]

Note: [[MassEffect Not to be confused with other YMIR robot.]] Apparently, the very same scientist who did Necromancer was attempting to create a mass-produced biomechanical soldier before. Quite unfortunately, the biological part was the head which, through series of events, gave the machine a free will. Because of that, YMIR is the only one of his "kind" and was shut down for a long time before finally returning to this world. Cautious, cold and always calculating risks and rewards.

Tropes applying to YMIR:
* DeadpanSnarker - At times.
* FlawedPrototype
* SkullForAHead
* SwissArmyWeapon - His multi-purpose rifle has several modes which he can change, according to circumstances.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Fergard Stratoavis The Fifth]]

Note: An uncle of Casper. [[spoiler: A {{Fallen Hero}} who succumbed to Creatures of Abyss' influence, abbandoned Daeva and Xipanticus to turn into bloodthirsty laughing wreck of a man. Killed by Casper and put under series of purging rituals that allowed him to regain his peace of mind in death.]] Would be voiced by {{Mamoru Miyano}}.

Tropes applying to Fergard:
* BadassLongcoat - [[spoiler: Casper dons it later on.]]
* [[spoiler: FallenHero]]
* GunsAkimbo - Dons customized four-barreled Vis Pistols first before ditching them in favor of 1887 Models.
* [[spoiler: InsaneEqualsViolent]]
* NiceHat
* TerrorHero - ''Extreme'' case of Type V. [[spoiler: [[HeWhoFightsMonsters It eventually got out of hand.]] ]][[/folder]]
[[folder: Szabla Stratoavis]]

Note: A legendary Stratoavis, known for his mastery in swordfighting and spellcasting alike, earning him a title of "Magic Knight". Not much is known about his past or how the hell did he get his blue skin, but [[TheDreaded just mentioning the name was enough to send most warriors panicking.]] Not much is known about his "death" either. Some even speculate he's not dead and just watches the world changing from afar.[[spoiler: He refused both Daeva and Xipanticus which made him the first Stratoavis to do so.]]

Tropes applying to Szabla:
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation - He's ''blue'', for crying out loud!
* ArrogantKungFuGuy - [[spoiler: He gets better though.]]
* {{BFS}} - His weapon of choice is an obsidian zweihander.
* BlackKnight - At least in the armor of choice... [[HotBlooded Not so much]] [[CombatPragmatist in his attitude.]]
* BloodKnight
* BlownAcrossTheRoom - His "Force Push" technique.
* CombatPragmatist - Quoting the man himself, "guys in shiny armors die first". Conversely, his armor is black.
* DynamicEntry - His "Battle Charge" technique.
* FlashStep - His "Killer Rush" technique.
* MagicKnight - It's even his title.
* PowerfulPick - His secondary weapon, pickax embedded with a power of electricity, able to shock the stabbed.
* ShockAndAwe - His magic of choice.
* TheyCallHimSword - "Szabla" is a [[BilingualBonus Polish]] word for saber.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Alastor]]

Note: Resident {{Big Bad}} who reigned over Purgatory after the death of Avatar of Lucifer. While not as bloodthirsty or direct as his predecessor, he's still a bad guy who won't hesitate to attack. [[spoiler: Later on he starts losing his patience and sanity which ends up in Operation Genesis which ''almost'' succeeds in overtaking Heaven and destroying it, but instead lays waste to Earth. After his "inprisonment", he comes back as Lucifer's right hand.]] Would be voiced by {{Jim Cummings}}.

Tropes applying to Alastor:
* BaldOfEvil - Hilariously used by Heavens as propaganda against him.
* BigBad - During his reign as Undisputed Sovereign of Purgatory. [[spoiler: He's {{The Dragon}} during The Last War.]]
* BigRedDevil
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld - Has been created by Lucifer not long after his fall which makes him quite old.
* ScaryImpracticalArmor - Dons it when necessary.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Lucifer]]

Note: {{Bigger Bad}} and the guy who basically started it all. Once a proud and most trusted Seraph of God, [[spoiler: he lost First Angelic Rebellion and was thrown couple of levels down alongside his fallen brethren where he created Hell. However, something went wrong and Hell became a [[JustForPun hellhole]](Dark Reaper was quite possibly involved).]] He was reigning over Purgatory for a long time as well, only to have his avatar killed in unknown circumstances. [[spoiler: Returns on Earth and back to power just in time for The Last War.]]

Tropes applying to Lucifer:
* BishonenLine - His Avatar was a giant demon thing with a {{BFS}}. His original form is based on {{Divine Comedy}}... [[spoiler: Then he comes back to Earth during The Last War and looks just like he did before his fall.]]
* FallenAngel - [[CaptainObvious Well, duh.]]
* PowerOfCreation - He was one of the few Angels to be granted with almost unlimited, God-like power. [[spoiler: Came in handy when creating Hell and the whole species of Luciferian Demons.]]
* {{Pride}} - His fatal flaw and the one which started it all.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Raguel]]

Note: Twentieth Angel of Death and [[spoiler: Casper's companion until his real death at the times of The Last War.]] Witty, sarcastic and often ridiculed by her choice of appearance which is little, 14-year-old girl, she's still a caring and gentle soul. [[spoiler: Hardens noticeably after Uriel's death.]] One of the few souls in the world able to use Wild Bunch. Would be voiced by {{Aya Hirano}} and {{Cristina Vee}}.

Tropes applying to Raguel:
* DeadpanSnarker
* FieryRedhead
* GunsAkimbo - Uses two Buntline Specials.
* MoreDakka - Wild Bunch in a nutshell.
* NightmareFace - Is able to change between her normal form and "Angel of Death" form. Complete with {{Im Melting}}.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld
* WomanInWhite - [[spoiler: After Uriel's death]] becomes a {{Woman In Black}} though.[[/folder]]

[[folder: Lilith]]

Note: The First Wife of Adam, Lilith's one of the oldest luciferian demons, if not ''the'' oldest and a Mistress of all Succubi and Incubi. Playful, upbeat, spunky, sultry and ''very passionate'', lacks any form of care for human beings and treats them as mere toys although they were cases of her getting attached to certain beings. After Avatar of Lucifer's death and Alastor's faked death, she attempts to take control over Purgatory, but is quickly stopped by returning Alastor and his First General, Himler Gunsche. For a long time was hiding in a mind of an unknown girl, was took out of there by Midnight and made his servant, although the process reduced her intelligence to a dog level. [[spoiler: She got better and is ''very'' pissed at Midnight, taking his place as Second General.]][[/folder]]

[[folder: [[spoiler: Abyss]] ]]

Note: What was thought to be [[spoiler: a giant graveyard for forsaken souls]] turned out to be an ancient entity, probably as old or slightly younger than Dark Reaper. [[spoiler: It's a collective mind for all Creatures of Abyss which finds the world repulsive and wants to get rid of it by expanding her(Abyss is usually noted as "she") influence over the whole world mankind knows]], but was too weak for a long time to succeed. [[spoiler: However, since the day Midnight was cut off Alastor's influence, Abyss grew stronger with her herald and was able to send more of her "children" to the world. By the time of Last War, Abyss is ready to unleash all of her forces at mortals, angels and demons...]][[/folder]]

Note: Previously [[{{Claw}} Nathaniel Joseph Claw]], but now is a full-on FC. An angelic being of unknown origin, even weirder appearance(of a humanoid dog in pirate clothing) and ridiculous quirks. [[BunnyEarsLawyer That being said, he's easily the most dangerous member of Team Paradiso]], as well as being the most forgiving, talkative and easy-going. Despites Areus, but works with him anyways(although the feeling isn't mutual). Would be voiced by {{Showtaro Morikubo}}.

Tropes applying to Natanael:
* BadassFurry
* GunsAkimbo - With two ''full-auto'' flintlock pistols no less.
* KnightInSourArmor - Acknowledges the world as a stinking hellhole, but that does not stop him from trying to do good.

* CardCarryingVillain - Is as {{Obviously Evil}} as you can possibly get from liliputian(1.09 meters, ''the'' shortest character in the whole stable) being from another world.
* CompleteMonster - Arguably, he's again the closest you'll get to {{Complete Monster}} in a world where {{Black and Grey Morality}} tend to function most of the time. Yes, more evil than {{Big Bad}}, the giant demon commanding the whole armies of monsters. ''Possibly'', even {{Bigger Bad}}, Lucifer(Naturally, Alastor's master and creator, currently sealed in Hell, Divine Comedy-style) pales in comparision.
** His motivation for [[spoiler: causing an international tragedy of enormous calibre which cost way over three thousand lives and a bunch of conflicts?]] He was looking for something he can test his abilities on.
* TheChessmaster - Used to be a decent planner even before aquiring Angels of Death for his own disposal. [[spoiler: After spending one year in the Abyss]], he now has mind control techniques to further his potential.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy - Is not afraid to get his own hands dirty, will always use mind-weakening spells first, tend to observe his opponents for a while before engaging them via his servants or personally, is not afraid of attacking from behind etc.
* DarkIsEvil - He's pitchblack save for his [[ProphetEyes snowwhite eyes]], uses mind control and the angels he controls are Angels of Death. Can't get any more obviously dark than that.
* ImMelting - Is at disposal of Twenty Angels of Death [[spoiler: though one of them is taken away from him]] who tend to kill off their unfortunate victim rather messily via facemelting. [[OverlyLongGag Just ask Arnold Toht.]]
* KillerRabbit - Hilariously(Or disturbingly, take your poison) enough, possibly the most dangerous being in Purgatory sans Alastor himself takes a form that seem to resemble some kind of a creature from ''Sonic'' universe. He manages to slightly subvert this though, as he isn't exactly cute with his {{Prophet Eyes}} and pitch black robe. [[spoiler: He later changes his form into more humane.]]
* ManipulativeBastard - Does he ever...
* MindRape - His modus operandi.
* NietzscheWannabe - Apparently, [[spoiler: his imprisonment in the Abyss]], messed up with his mind to the point he at times wishes for the entire world to turn Abyss. [[spoiler: Quite literally so.]]
* OneManArmy
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname - Very few beings in the world know about Midnight's name. [[ThatManIsDead He doesn't seem to particularly care for his existence pre-Ark.]]
* ProphetEyes
* TeethClenchedTeamwork - With Himler. Those two ''really'' don't like each other.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking - His title
offer a position as Second General General, the position which Midnight accepted. Until Operation Genesis, he served as a specialist for breaking and mending minds as he seemed fit, gathering a small group of Alastor elite servants to do his bidding. He also isn't only for show, y'know. He actually outmatches [[BigBad Alastor himself]] in certain abilities.
* [[spoiler: BeneathTheMask]] - [[spoiler: He lost a good chunk of his face at price of aquiring the power of The Ark.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy - Is not
afraid to get his own hands dirty, will always use mind-weakening spells first, tend to observe dirty himself and often appears in mortals' plane himself, making him an oddity amongst Generals. [[spoiler: After Operation Genesis he wasn't banished like the other Alastor's forces on courtesy of not being demon himself. That's when Abyss' influence came into play, slowly severing what little ties with his opponents for a while before engaging them via humanity he had and awakening his servants or personally, is not afraid memories of attacking from behind etc.
* DarkIsEvil - He's pitchblack save for his [[ProphetEyes snowwhite eyes]], uses mind control
the incident that gave him powers: he was thrown into Abyss itself and the angels he controls are Angels of Death. Can't get any more obviously dark as a mortal it affected him vastly differently than that.

* NietzscheWannabe - Apparently, [[spoiler: his imprisonment in the Abyss]], messed up with his mind to the point he at times wishes for the entire world
to turn Abyss. [[spoiler: Quite literally so.]]
