Tropers: Badfic Fetish
Click the edit button to start this new page.

Begun this to participate in the So Bad its Good Role Play and the Write A Badfic threads, but I branched out to a Live Blog of Nick The Swing's fic, Stand My Ground (It's a very good My Immortal parody, read it).

I hate almost all forms of Author Tract and Misaimed Fandom. I can tolerate the low-key ones, but the ones that aren't annoy me, whether I agree with them or not.

This Troper loves Travels Through Azeroth And Outland and considers it his personal canon, something that he has never done for any other fanfic, no matter how good.

Also, he actualy likes the Star Wars prequels, but is aware that others don't and will not dispute their points. However, he expects them to do the same, especially if they have read the Fandom Heresy, Hatedom, and Broken Base pages.

I cannot make prolonged posts because of schoolwork, so you'll have to be content with this page. Please don't use this for PMs, I won't be using this profile much anyway.

Edit

Also, here's a really awesome paragraph from David Eddings (quite frankly, it is one of the few things he and I both agree on).

Now let's answer all the critics who proudly announce that they find our work deriative. What else is new? Chaucer was deriative. So was Shakespeare. The literary value of the story is in it's presentation. Any plot-line can be reduced to absurdity if one chooses to do so. There's a story, probably apocryphal, which tell us of an early movie producer who simplified all movie plots to 'Cinderella' and 'Goldlocks'. He'd buy 'Goldilocks', but not 'Cinderella'.
