Huge Guy Tiny Girl - Television Tropes & Idioms

If one has checked real life lately, this does tend to naturally happen quite a bit. This troper knows a girl who's about 90 pounds who is with a guy over 200 pounds.

This Troper is on the small end of 'huge' (6'3), and finds short, curvy women very visually attractive. Oddly enough, only one significant girlfriend was actually short, and my wife is 6'2.
This Troper's ten-year-older brothers have girlfriends two heads shorter than they are. Even this troper is significantly taller than them, and this troper is 5'5''.
A The Straight Will And Grace example: this troper is 5'0" and my best friend is 6'2" on the official volleyball roster. He is, however, stick-thin, while this troper is very curvy (read: just a little plump).
- Are you me? You sound just like me (5'3", bubble-bellied) and my best friend (6'0", thin enough to go through the eye of a needle when doubled-over). I guess this happens a lot, huh?
  - Same thing with this troper, although in this case, he happens to be the tall, thin guy.

Again, girl was shorter (if by an inch or two) than troper, while the boyfriend was considerably taller (just under 6 feet approx.)
This troper's cousin (not first cousin) and his wife are almost a textbook example. She's a small, waiflike woman, and he's a full head taller and twice as wide.
- On the don't-really-exist side of the trope, the Official Couple in her original fiction are a 5'1" woman and a 6'8" man.
This troper is 4'10". Everyone is taller than me! Notably, a male friend is around 6'3". I get used as an armrest a lot.
This Troper's entire family. My father and I are taller than my mother by about a foot, and my sister, if only marginally. One of this troper's friends is rather tall (almost a head taller than this troper himself), and has a girlfriend who's very lightly build and about 20cm shorter than him. They make an interesting-looking pair.
People can't believe my grandmother (5'4") and I (6'6") are even related. Most of my maternal family is short. My dad's side, not so much. Considering this troper's liking for Asian women, it may turn out to be Truth In Television that way, too.

Another gay example, This troper is 6'3 and is dating a guy 5'4. He also spent three years with someone 5'9. Not exactly tiny, but this troper remembers the first guy he dated post-breakup, who was around 6'4, and how relieving it felt being able to stand up straight while making out. This troper has always swooned over guys taller than himself, but can't be picky for obvious reasons.
- This Troper can relate a similar example, herself being around 5'3 or so and her girlfriend 6'2, and let's not even start on when she wears heels. Kissing discreetley in public is therefore quite difficult.
One of This Troper's best friend's (at about 6'1 or so and looking like a pro wrestler despite not exercising) girlfriend has mild Turner's Syndrome and is less than 4' tall. They're both at least 20, though.
This Troper is currently not an example, but it is inevitable that she will be soon enough. I'm at the very far end of tiny (though, sadly, mostly in the vertical direction), and finding a guy who doesn't look huge when compared to me would be quite difficult.
