• Awesome, Dear Boy: Johnny Depp practically begged Kevin Smith to make another movie with Guy LaPointe because of how much he loved playing the character.

• The Cast Showoff:
  • The Smiths and the Depps pretty much made this movie as a star vehicle for their daughters. Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp's songs display the musical chops they gained while playing in a rock band at summer camp and in their last one, Depp's father joins them on guitar. Lilly Rose also has a scene where she speaks French, which she's fluent in due to being born and raised in France (she's half French from her mom, and has French citizenship).
  • The role of Arcane is a showcase for Smith's Hollywood Babble On co-host Ralph Garman and his talent for accents and celebrity impressions.
• Celebrity Paradox
• Creator Backlash: On Smith's Fatman Beyond podcast, while interviewing screenwriter Zack Stentz and listening to his story about how his proposed script for Fantastic Four (2015) was rejected because director Josh Trank didn't want to use a script from external sources, Smith quips "I wish during Yoga Hosers someone had told me 'Here, use this script'!"
• Descended Creator: Kevin Smith plays all of the monsters.
• Fake Nationality: Most of the Canadians were played by Americans or other foreigners.
• Real-Life Relative: Both main actresses' parents appear in the movie.
  • Harley Quinn Smith's father Kevin Smith plays the Bratzis (see Descended Creator above). Her mother Jennifer Schwalbach portrays her character's mother Ms. McKenzie.
  • Lily-Rose Depp's father Johnny Depp returns as Guy LaPointe and her mother Vanessa Paradis plays the history teacher Ms. Maurice.
• What Could Have Been
  • The Bratzis were originally tiny clones of Hitler.
  • Jason Mewes was supposed to play all of the Hitler Clones/Bratzis, but his claustrophobia meant that he couldn't wear prosthetics. Kevin Smith then asked Haley Joel Osment to play the role, which he agreed to, but photos of him from the film in a Nazi uniform for his role as Adrian Arcand had leaked onto the internet, resulting in a lot of negative press and his agent forcing him to withdraw.
• You Look Familiar:
  • Justin Long played the main character Wallace Bryton in the previous True North film, Tusk. Here he's Yogi Bayer, teaching the Colleens yoga.
  • Genesis Rodriguez played Ally Leon in Tusk. Here she plays another character, Ms. Wicklund.
