- Actor Allusion:
- Yin dressing up as a sailor scout is probably this, considering Sailor Venus is one of Stephanie Morgenstern's most well-known roles.
- The same goes, through in less degree, in the Japanese dub, as her voice actress also voiced another Magical Girl Warrior, in this case, Nagisa Misumi/Cure Black.
- On a more likely note, Smoke's voice actor also voiced Sailor Moon herself, and Smoke acts like a magical girl, so....
- Cross-Regional Voice Acting: Although the show primary uses Toronto-based voice actors, they also occasionally used American actors as well that are either comedians (e.g. James Belushi, Bill Engvall, Seth MacFarlane, etc.) or Disney sitcom-alumni (e.g. Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso, Kyle Massey, etc.). Steve Marmel, alongside directors John Fountain and Eric Truehart, direct the actors remotely from Los Angeles.
- "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune: Downplayed. Scott McCord and Stephanie Morgenstern sing a grand total of one line each in a theme song that is otherwise performed by Kyle Massey.
- He Also Did:
- Yang and Yuck's voice actor, Scott McCord, is also Dan Kuso.
- Smoke, Saranoia and Ella-Mental (Linda Ballantyne) are Sailor Moon.
- Real-Life Relative: In the Italian dub, Carl and Herman are voiced by real life brothers Nanni and Oreste Baldini.
- What Could Have Been:
- Jorge R. Gutierrez, from El Tigre and The Book of Life fame, was hired as a character designer on the show, but was fired as a result from taking too many liberties and stirring away from the show's design style in his initial submissions.
- According to Bob Boyle, the pitch pilot of the series used a Los Angeles-based voice cast with well-known voice actors. But when the series went to production, for a cost-effective procedure and since the oversea studio was located in Toronto, Disney settled on a Canadian-based cast. This diminished Bob's fear on outsourcing the series because it allowed him access to new talent that impressed him.
- A third season was originally announced to air in 2010, but the show was unfortunately cancelled thanks to the closure of Toon Disney's Jetix block and the launching of Disney XD, leaving the show with an unresolved cliffhanger.
- Bob Boyle had hoped back when the series premiered to expand on the show's universe and eventually have an anime-styled spin-off, but the show was cancelled after the second season.
- According to John Fountain, who directed the first season, his initial design for the "Skelewog" was for a more detailed, pointed design while Boyle did the final design to a more rounded, abstract look.
- Fountain was also initially supposed to design and produce the first comic book for the series due to Boyle's unavailability, but as a result of Boyle's schedule clearing up, Boyle decided to do the comic instead.
