Trivia: The Scarlet Pimpernel
  • Defictionalization: The rhyme at the top of the primary page was used as a code sign by networks smuggling Jews and other people at risk out of Nazi-occupied France during World War II. At the same time, Britain released the film Pimpernel Smith, updating the story for that same setting.
