• What Could Have Been:
  • Word of God states that the comic was originally a fanfic that he never published.
  • Nahmat's character arc was changed.
    In my original iteration of this comic, I wrote Nahmat with a unrepentantly holier-than-thou "I told you so" attitude towards the little ponies, with no remorse in the slightest for her irresponsible actions. Optimizing the story as I progressed with the comic, I figured out that having her act and feel that way was wrong.
    
    A story about an old, wise, powerful character who is called upon by another to reevaluate what she knows about the world doesn't work if her challenger's attitude isn't called into question as well, especially if the two are very similar to one another.
