• Actor Allusion: In one episode, Christine yells 'Get out!' and shoves Barb's chest. This is an allusion to Julia Louis-Dreyfus' most famous character, Elaine Benes from Seinfeld.
• Career Resurrection: While she had a decent career after Seinfeld finished its run, this show got Julia back as the main focus, and one of the few shows that lasted after the "Seinfeld curse".
• Throw It In!: Each episode of the show ends with a Vanity Plate for "Kari's Logo Here", which is just the company name against a black background with a timestamp below. It was originally made as a placeholder to be dropped once an actual logo was produced, but Kari Lizer decided to keep it, and told the writers who wanted something else she needed to get home and make spaghetti.
