• Creator Backlash: Jeff Morrow didn't get see what the bird looked like until attending the film's premiere in his hometown. He ending up slinking out of the theater in shame before the film was even over, afraid someone might recognize him. He went home and got drunk.
• Enforced Method Acting: Be sure to check out the furious look on Jeff Morrow's face when huge chunks of flaming debris land inches from his head, followed by a very abrupt cut.
• What Could Have Been: A stop motion monster from Ray Harryhausen, until they decided a puppet was cheaper. Sure, it would have been far better, but not nearly as amusing.
