- Divorced Installment: Mœbius put Cornelius in his Airtight Garage comic but later reprints renamed him "Lewis Carnelian" after Moorcock complained he was out of character.
- Disowned Adaptation;
- Michael Moorcock didn't care very much for the 1973 adaptation of The Final Programme (released in the US as The Last Days of Man on Earth), although he had a good time with the cast, especially Jon Finch.
- As mentioned above he complained about Cornelius acting out of character in The Airtight Garage but said after that he thought renaming the character was a bit extreme and that he actually liked the comic.
