* IKnewIt:
** One of the most popular theories for how Mario would be saved from Basillix involved Luigi using the power of his Tanooki suit to recover from Basillix's [[TakenForGranite stone gaze]]. The first scene for the unfinished Episode 9 reveals that this is indeed what was going to happen.
** Portions of the fandom expected Alvin to cancel the original series due to how long he was taking with each episode after 6, especially when he kept insisting that he wanted to do 3 sagas in 15-episode installments. Much to their dismay, he did.

* OldShame: Alvin really isn’t proud of Episode 7 from the original run. He also now regrets certain art direction decisions. These regrets include using Mecha Sonic's design from VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles, believing it to be outdated-looking and inaccurate to the game, and basing the Axem Rangers X off of various ''Franchise/MegaMan'' characters. He has planned to change both of these things in the reboot.

** Wario and Waluigi have a case of this in Episode 2 of the Reboot. Waluigi's "Bombs Away" line was provided by AsylusGoji91, and the Wario Bros. "Blasting Off Again" line was voiced by Chris Niosi.

I know it's a trope, but it didn't really make sense for the main page. If it shouldn't go here either, please just remove it.

** The reboot suffered from this as well. Episode 1 was released in January 2016, and Episode 2 didn't see release until May 2021, nearly five and a half years later. There’s also been a year long gap between episodes 2 and 3, with no word on when 3 will release.

** This happened a couple of times in the original run, due to fans pressuring him about the release date of the next episode. One of his breakdowns led to him temporarily cancelling the series before making an apology and uncanceling it the next day.

Some of the more notable ones are ''WebAnimation/SuperMarioBrosHeroesOfTheStars'', ''Worlds in Danger'', and ''Super Mario Bros Super'' (later changed to ''Super Mario Bros GT'').

** The series was inspired by the plethora of Newgrounds flash animations back in the early 2000's, namely ''WebAnimation/RiseOfTheMushroomKingdom'', ''WebAnimation/SonicsQuestForPower'', and ''Power Star''. Since there were a lot of animations that had Mario and Sonic fight each other, Alvin decided to make a series where the two were allies.
