- The Character Died with Him: Todd is implied to have passed away at the end of the third season, coinciding with the death of his actor, David Strickland.
- Fake Nationality: Luis is played by New York-born Nestor Carbonell. Both Luis and Carbonell are ethnically Cuban, however.
- In Memoriam: The season 3 finale, "A Day In The Life" is essentially a large one for David Strickland. The episode revolves around Susan trying to find Todd after he goes missing, while the cast reminisces about their experiences with him. The episode ends with archived footage of Strickland with the caption "The Gods of comedy looked down upon you and smiled".
- Missing Episode: The fourth season episode "The Gay Parade" was never aired during the show's initial run on NBC. It only appeared in syndication years after the show ended.
