  • Artist Disillusionment: The developer's disdain against Western players due to pirating the game caused him to refuse to make an English-language version of the game. This escalated in 2022 when word got out that someone pirated the game and tried to defeat the anti-cheat, causing him to suspend development on this game and its sequel indefinitely.
  • Development Hell: Development halted (to the surprise of nearly everybody following it) back in August 2010, only to resume in November (with the creator also learning enough english to explain enough of the game mechanics to the English-speaking community), only to be paused AGAIN (albeit briefly) in Early February 2011. Development resumed (with a complete overhaul of the gameplay mechanics) in late February 2011. If Tris_Gram stays on track (which, given how much attention to detail is present, is kind of a long shot), there's a chance the game will be released for Comiket 81 (Winter 2011).
    • It struck again, but Tris_Gram is already considering doing the final touches on the previous version of Stella Vanity (from before the complete overhaul of the game mechanics) and releasing the "OLD" version at C81 (with potential plans to turn that version freeware after a period of time), with the NEW version aimed for C82 (August 2012).
  • Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things:
    • Shortly after the game's release at Comiket 81, the game was leaked and posted on /jp/. TRIS-GRAM had planned English-language support for the game, but the incident set off his Berserk Button and he dropped English-language support and all contact with English-language fans. When he made update patches and noticed that a lot of the traffic was from Western players, he even went as far as to hide updates for the game, forcing players to figure out where to download them by looking through their physical copies. This seems to have changed to a degree as it's available on DLsite's english page.
    • This struck again in 2022 when it came to light that someone had not only pirated the game but was also trying to crack the game's anti-cheat measures, In response, TRIS-GRAM declared he would no longer publish his games towards English-speaking audiences.
