Nick executives also cite it as one of their flagship preschool properties (and cartoons in general) and gets tons of promotion. It even got a float for the UsefulNotes/MacysThanksgivingDayParade. However, it eventually got screwed as mentioned below.
* ChannelHop: Beginning with "A Lightning Colt for Shaya/A Special Delivery" new episodes now air on the Nick Jr. channel.

** Averted with Shimmer, Shine, Leah, Zac, and Kaz being voiced by child actors, but played straight with Princess Samira and Zeta. The former five are played by actors of roughly the same age, but the latter are teenagers voiced by Niki [=SooHoo=] and Lacey Chabert, with Nikki in her late 20s and Lacey in her mid 30s.
*** Leah eventually plays this straight; her voice actress, Alina Foley, is now 16, and she was 12 by the time the series started. It's even noticeable by Leah's VocalEvolution, to go along with the age.

The show ended in February 2020 with little fanfare and the lack of a proper conclusion.
