• What Could Have Been:
  • The initial plan was for Mercedes Martinez to become the top brute of SHIMMER, with Del Rey in a much more sympathetic role. But Martinez had to take most of 2007 off and the rest, is history.
  • Wrestling Society X had planned a romance angle featuring her, Mickie Knuckles and Arik Cannon, which never came to be on account of WSX being canceled.
  • Was supposed to face Mickie James at RPW Throwdown For The Pound 3 but James getting a shoulder injury at a TNA House Show lead to a rematch with an old rival, Madison Rayne, instead.
  • During the middle of Asuka's undefeated streak in NXT, someone realized that there actually was a woman employed by WWE who'd beaten her - women's head trainer Sara Amato. She had several wins over Asuka dating back to their indy days as Kana and Sara Del Rey. There was talk of Amato coming out of retirement for a one-off with Asuka, but between concerns over the finish being obvious (would they really have Asuka's streak ended by an inactive wrestler that casual fans had never heard of?) and over match quality (Amato hadn't wrestled a match in 4+ years at that point) they decided against it.
