This is Chris Hardwick's second role as an animal who frequently disguises himself as a human.
Maulik Pancholy previously played a character named Sanjay Patel on Weeds.
Creator Cameo: Creators Jay Howell and Jim Dirschberger have both voiced some minor/extra characters.
Producer Thurop Van Orman voices a lot of incidental roles, and even appears as Noodman's uncle Thurop in "Family Re-Noodman".
Creator Killer: Heavily downplayed. The series came out during the very troubled 2013-2014 period where Nickelodeon was at its lowest point due to a lack of appeal. Despite that, the series had some very solid viewer ratings throughout its run (A few episodes from the first season like the series premiere episode and the Double Dare episode scored over 3 million views.) and did pretty well with its target audience. Critics described the show as "very underwhelming, yet average at least". Unfortunately, due to its lighter tone, unnecessary usage of gross-out humor, constant animation errors, poor characterizations, and a lot of bad luck, the show mostly failed to get a proper Periphery Demographic, as most teens and adults see the show as a complete trainwreck. While its underwhelming reputation alongside Nick's brief acquisition of Rocket Monkeys did some major damage to the network, the critical failure of Breadwinners was the one that almost killed Nickelodeon.
When it was announced that the June 2016 premieres where gonna be strung out into an entire week back-to-back, clever fans referred it as a "Sanjay Bomb".
Keep Circulating the Tapes: After the series ended in July 2016, reruns air on Nicktoons, though it's sometimes taken off the schedule and put back on a frequent basis. Only Season 1 is currently available on DVD. Nothing is said about Seasons 2 and 3note Which have both been better received by most fans, due to the episodes being more serious and having more focus on plot and character.) so far. Despite all that, the whole series can be found on iTunes and Hulu. Most of the episodes can be found online via torrents and video sites. (But it's no picnic to get all 60 Half-Hours.)
