- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Pretty much a given with a film of this nature. Became significantly easier to find all the different cuts in the mid-2000s. Classic Media held the copyright to the U.S. TV version for a while but never took the opportunity to release it before it lapsed back to Toho, all but guaranteeing that it will never be released.
- What Could Have Been: A sequel called Prophecies of Nostradamus II: Fear of the Great Devil was in the early planning stages following this film's success with much of the crew returning including the first film's director Toshio Masuda, the plot would have involved a reporter (who would be named directly after the novelist of the book) undergoing a spirit medium experiment in an attempt to reach the deceased French Prophet Nostradamus himself due to the troubling visions of the end of the world, only for an ominous UFO to show up in Japan. The film was quickly scrapped due to the controversy of this film's final scene, ultimately sealing the fate of this sequel.
