* MilestoneCelebration: ''Project X Zone 2'' serves as the 10th anniversary of ''VideoGame/NamcoXCapcom''. Seemingly, ''2'' has Reiji and Xiaomu as the main heroes again, Saya as one of the primary antagonists, as well as introduce other members of Shinra and Ouma. In fact, the game's subtitle, ''Brave New World'', shares the same name as ''Namco X Capcom's'' main theme.
* NoDubForYou: While the games were able to be officially released and translated to the west, neither game was given an English voice dub. Understandably thanks to the various franchises with different dubbing studios.

** Xiaoyu is using her [[Anime/TekkenBloodVengeance Blood Vengeance]] [[Creator/MaayaSakamoto voice]] than [[Creator/YumiTouma the original one]]. To be fair though, Sakamoto does Xiaoyu's voice for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as well.
** Creator/AiOrikasa voices Tarosuke in the second game instead of Creator/FujikoTakimoto in Videogame/NamcoXCapcom.

* DoingItForTheArt: For the western release, the rights for every single character had to be re-negotiated. Barring some missing songs for the first game, both games were given a western release.

* RelationshipVoiceActor: Naturally tons considering just how huge the cast is. Examples include:
** [[Creator/MinamiTakayama Pai]] and [[Creator/HochuOtsuka Meden Traore]] are [[VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising Pit]] and [[spoiler:Hades]] respectively.
** Minami also voiced [[spoiler:Mithos]] in ''VideoGame/TalesOfSymphonia''. By having [[Creator/AiOrikasa Saya]] be the Solo Unit for [[VideoGame/VirtuaFighter Pai and Akira]], you can reunite him with Genis!
** Having [[Creator/NobuyukiHiyama Demitri, Haken and Batsu]] take on [[Music/MegumiHayashibara Due Frabellum]] becomes HilariousInHindsight when you realise their actors have both voiced different reincarnations of [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda Link and Zelda]] in the past...or [[Manga/CheekyAngel other]] [[Manga/YuYuHakusho shows]]...
** When [[Creator/YuuichiNakamura Kurt]] and [[Creator/AyaEndo Riela]] meet [[Creator/KikukoInoue Valkyrie]], they could literally start the plot of ''Anime/MacrossFrontier''.
* RoleReprise: All voice actors reprise their roles from the original series, but worth noting is that Creator/HiroshiFujioka is back for voicing Advertising/SegataSanshiro after this whole decade of Segata's absence.
* SeriesHiatus: Although producer Kensuke Tsukanaka has expressed interest in continuing the series [[https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/02/interview_learning_more_about_the_ultimate_crossover_rpg_project_x_zone_2_from_its_creators per an interview with Nintendo Life]], no news have come of a prospective new title ever since.
* TalkingToHimself: Inevitable with the size of the cast. Some examples include:
** Demitri, Haken, Batsu and Stehoney are all voiced by Creator/NobuyukiHiyama. [[HilarityEnsues This is even alluded in-game!]].
** Leanne and Riela are both voiced by Creator/AyaEndo.
** [[VideoGame/FightingVipers Bahn]] and [[Franchise/StreetFighter Ryu]] are voiced by Creator/HirokiTakahashi.
** Mariko Suzuki already does ActingForTwo with [[VideoGame/{{Xenosaga}} [=KOS-MOS=] and T-elos]], but she also voices ''Anime/{{Yumeria}}'''s Neito. You can even put Neneko in KOS-MOS and T-elos Pair Unit and all three would ''argue'' with each other.
** Creator/MaayaSakamoto voices [[Anime/TekkenBloodVengeance Xiaoyu]], [[VideoGame/GodEaterBurst Alisa]] and [[Franchise/DotHack Aura]].
** Creator/ChisaYokoyama voices both [[VideoGame/SakuraWars Sakura]] and [[VideoGame/MegaManLegends The Servbots]], and it's even ''lampshaded'' with this pre-battle conversation:

* NamesTheSame: There are two {{mook}}s named "Goblin": one is an enemy from ''[[VideoGame/DotHackR1Games .hack]]'' and the other is a Gnosis from ''VideoGame/{{Xenosaga}}''.

* BadExportForYou: Apparently, even instrumental versions of certain songs have to be licensed separately from the game. As such, the American version has a number of {{Cut Song}}s, including [[VideoGame/ShiningForce World's Love]], [[VideoGame/GodEater1 Over The Clouds]], [[VideoGame/ValkyriaChroniclesIII If You Wish For...]], [[VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia Ring a Bell]], [[VideoGame/SpaceChannel5 Mexican Flyer]], HIGH-RISE TO HELL (from ''[[VideoGame/DynamiteCop Dynamite Deka/Die Hard Arcade]]''), [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration ROCKS]], and the vocal version of the game's main theme, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwJ0moEahfc Wing Wanderer]]. The sequel, however, has no cut content.
