The rival has one of a sort. After a demo on Pokémon Smash! had the girl playing the game naming the rival "Hihihiroshi" as a joke, some fans thought it was the rival's official name. Even after the misunderstanding was cleared up, fans adopted the silly name until the official name, Hugh, arrived. Sadly, you can't name him this in the English translation due to Character Name Limits.
On Pixiv, Bianca with her new design has a tag that refers to her as "Berumegane."
A perusal of the game's music files would imply that the devteam had nicknamed Black Kyurem "Kyurom" and White Kyurem "Kyuram".
The Other Darrin: Oddly enough, no voice actors from the Pokemon anime reprise their role in the animated trailer in either language. In the Japanese version, Bianca was voiced by Ayana Taketatsu instead of Shizuka Ito, while Elesa was voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro rather than Yumiko Kobayashi. As of the English dub, Eileen Stevens voiced Bianca instead of Erica Schroeder and Elesa was voiced by Sarah Natochenny instead of Eileen Stevens.
Urban Legend of Zelda / Beam Me Up, Scotty!: Many English-speaking fans believed that, in the Japanese versions of the games, Ghetsis tries to impale and kill the player character using Kyurem's icicles (judging from the animation of the scene). In the English version, he very clearly states his intent to freeze the player character alive. Fans believed that this was a Never Say "Die"Bowdlerization until it was pointed out that Ghetsis' threat was unchanged from the original Japanese.note For those curious, his line in Japanese translates to "You will be frozen here and see the end of Unova! Kyurem! Glaciate!"
Black and White Kyurem and the Kami trio are the second-sixth untradable Pokemon in the main series games, the first being the spiky-ear Pichu in Pokemon Heart Gold And Soul Silver.
Black/White Kyurem can't be downloaded from a fake GTS either without the player getting a bad egg when trying to unfuse them. Pokecheck.org won't even allow downloads of the new formes.
What Could Have Been: Hilbert and Hilda have unused quotes for PWT. However besides names the text is the same for both characters.
