• What Could Have Been: A translated excerpt from a draft of the 1982 episode shows that the subplot of Kubo being dumped by Ueno was planned to include an extended Shout-Out to the dream sequence from Super Dimension Fortress Macross, with Kubo desparately trying to chase after her (while calling out to "Minmay"). After he discovers that Ueno was seeing someone else, another Cosplay scene (with Kubo as Hikaru, Satou as Misa... and the Minmei cross-player from the final version) punctuates his loss.
