Trivia / Nexo Knights

  • Acting for Two:
    • Brian Drummond is an absolute champion, if the show's wiki is to be trusted, voicing Axl (and all of his relatives), Merlok, King Halbert, Herb Herbertson, Jorah Tightwad and Lance's father.
    • Erin Mathews voices both Macy and Robin.
    • Giles Panton voices Clay, Beast Master, Burnzie, The Blok, and provides sound effects for several monsters.
    • Ian Hanlin voices Lance, his agent, Jurgen von Stroheim and a few others.
    • Michael Donovan voices almost every single male Squirebot.
  • Conclusion in Another Medium: The TV series was cancelled due to lack of funding, but its Cliffhanger did get resolved through comics published in the official magazine, which ran for one more year along with the toyline, although they were never confirmed to be canon.
  • Continuity Lockout:
    • The appearance of the Book of Anger in Episode 20 will likely confuse those who haven't seen the app-exclusive Origins Episode where it properly debuted.
    • Likewise, two minor Season 4 characters, Fletcher Bowman and Izzy Richmond, were properly introduced (as main characters, no less) in a spin-off book The Forbidden Power, which was released even before Season 3.
  • Crossdressing Voices:
  • Cut Short: After only 40 episodes, the show was cancelled due to lack of funding.
  • Defictionalization: The Book of Monsters has been published as an actual book.
  • Fake Brit: Michael Donovan, a Canadian, voices the British-accented Robot Hoodlum.
  • Fake Irish: Once again, Michael Donovan in the role of the Irish-accented JohnBot.
  • Fake Scot: Brian Drummond, a Canadian, voices the Scottish-accented Jorah Tightwad.
  • Production Posse: Many crew members and voice actors from Ninjago contributed to the show.
  • Recycled Script: Monstrox becoming a program that commands an army of robots and cyborgs is roughly similar to what happened to the Overlord in Ninjago.
  • Rereleased for Free: All four seasons of the series are available to watch on Tubi and Pluto TV.
  • Screwed by the Network: In the US, the show was barely aired, and the show was shoved into an early morning death slot with little-to-no advance warning.
  • Spoiled by the Merchandise: The advertisements for sets didn't even put effort into hiding the Black Knight's identity (not that it would've been a huge twist if the merchandise didn't spoil it).
  • What Could Have Been: Had the show not been Cut Short due to low toy sales, a fifth and sixth seasons would have been produced. Other than Monstrox returning as a computer virus, Tommy Andreasen has revealed a number of ideas for these seasons through his tweets, including:
    • Clay mastering his newfound magical abilities.
    • Macy fulfilling her duty as a queen due to her parents' absense.
    • Fletcher getting revealed to be Clay's brother.
    • The villains stealing Nexo Powers and using them against the knights.
    • Merlok getting destroyed and Ava replacing him.
The story of the show was continued in the Merlok 2.0 mobile app, with the official magazine providing its own ending to it in the form of comics. However, the sets for the fifth season were still released.
