Trivia / New York Undercover

Go To

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Due to complications of the music rights of every song or performance they had in the show, a DVD release seems very unlikely.
  • Recycled Script:
    • "Mama Said Knock You Out" is quite similar to the Miami Vice episode "Down For The Count", albeit with one very glaring difference: the main character of the episode doesn't die in the end. The fact that both shows have same producer/showrunner in common explains why.
    • The story arc of an independent woman with her own successful career falling in love with the protagonist, becoming pregnant by him, and unceremoniously being killed off by their partner's rival in order to hurt him/drive them crazy is explored in both this series' Sandy Gill/Williams and the latter show's Caitlin Davies/Crockett.
  • Working Title: It was initially named Uptown Undercover during development, which was taken from its creator, Uptown Records.
