• Cut Song: The "Piggy Dance" song featured in "Baby Cakes" was originally meant to be in this episode, longer and to the tune of the "Chicken Dance", but was cut due to time constraints. It apparently wasn't this episode's only too-long Cut Song, either.
• First Appearance: After having a cameo in Rarity's fantasy back in "The Ticket Master", Prince Blueblood makes his official debut.
• Typecasting: In the Japanese dub, Prince Blueblood is voiced by Takehito Koyasu, who's well-known for playing incredibly haughty characters.
• What Could Have Been: Prince Blueblood was originally going to be a Duke but that was changed because the higher-ups thought kids wouldn't know what a duke was.
