Trivia / Lindsey Stirling

Go To

  • Breakthrough Hit: Though she did other music before, the "Dragonborn" cover she did with Peter Hollens arguably catapulted her to mainstream internet popularity.
    • Her song "Crystallize" also took Tumblr by storm when it was released.
    • But the success of video for "Spontaneous Me" was what first put her on the map.
  • Dye Hard: Fond of red-orange.
  • Fan Community Nicknames: Stirlingites!
  • Promoted Fanboy: She's a huge Evanescence fangirl from childhood. In 2017 she appeared as a guest musician on Evanescence's Synthesis and toured with them the next year, with Amy Lee returning the favor by singing "Shatter Me" during Lindsay's set.
  • Reclusive Artist: Not in general, but about certain things. While concerts often include scheduled meet and greet events, she absolutely will not sign autographs or take pictures with people who approach her in church (since she's there to worship), and wryly commented in her autobiography that she loves her fans but loves them "even more after breakfast" note . She also does this with her personal life; her book contains a few amusing anecdotes about her menstrual cycle (mostly related to usually being the only woman in her tour group), but she has steadfastly refused to give any details about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Devin Graham, only saying that they weren't meant to be together.
  • Saved from Development Hell: Some time ago, these production photos of a Final Fantasy XIII music video with then-boyfriend Devin Graham were posted. The video was to be posted on Graham's channel, but unfortunately, he was hit with a cease-and-desist order from Square Enix less than a week before the scheduled release date. It wasn't until years later that the video would finally see release.
  • Stunt Double: She has a $40 violin used for scenes in rain, rolling in dirt, etc.; as a good violin costs thousands, this saves it from getting ruined.
