- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Due to several redesigns over the years, the Cheezburger site has became hard to navigate, and even harder to get to the older posts; not helped by the fact that some dedicated people out there are still making new Lolcat macros and posting them to Cheezburger. The fact that the other big Lolcat site, Lolcats(dot)com, was taken over by domain squatters years ago, doesn’t really help. Some early mid-2000s Lolcat characters (such as Drillcat, Olngact, and Speedycat) never even got to make the transition from 4chan to Cheezburger, and the only record of their existence are Encyclopedia Dramatica pages, which themselves may or may not have survived ED’s long history of server moves. The Lolcat Bible translation project no longer exists outside of the Internet Archive, and the official ICHC Lolspeak wiki is pretty much dead, losing its custom domain with Wetpaint’s rebranding to Wikifoundry, and now just a static archive along with the rest of that company’s wikis. Cheezburger’s parent company, Literally Media, has pretty much ceased to maintain the Cheezburger site since the last redesign in circa 2014-15, focusing instead on Know Your Meme and Cracked.
