Trivia / Klay World

Go To

  • Channel Hop: In 2009 Knox started posting all of his videos, including the Klay World series, to YouTube rather than Newgrounds, with "Big Bad Uncle" being the last.
  • The Danza: Dr. Bob is voiced by Robert Benfer.
  • Development Hell: Benfer announced around 2006-07 that he was going to release a remake of "Henry's Shotgun". This was written in the original's Newgrounds description and even hinted that it would be released in December of that year. It took four years for one to finally be made and during that time there was the occasional comment on his Youtube channel, Myspace, or Newgrounds pages asking "Where's the Henry's Shotgun remake?"
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Some of Klay World's old episodes ("Boogie Monster 2", "Kolors of Klay City", and "The Rodent" mini-series for example) aren't viewable on Benfer's Youtube channel or website, but can be found by other people who reposted it.
  • Schedule Slip: "All Gone" was set for release of June 2013, with people who preordered the boxset to receive it at least a week ahead of time. Mid July held a video which promised it within a week's time. "All Gone" was finally released September, due to moving during post production and simply taking longer than expected.
  • What Could Have Been: Benfer had plans to create a second Klay World movie after Off the Table but finances and other plans got in the way and the idea was scrapped.
    • Not really related to Klay World but worth a mention: Villain, a full-length claymation movie that he was planning on making after Off the Table but financial problems resulted in him cancelling production.
    • A live action film he was working on called Joe Cam was also cancelled due to his best friend Sammie Penrod (who was supposed to play as the film's antagonist) moving away and conflicts with shooting schedules.
    • Benfer announced five final episodes would be made in the months leading up to All Gone. Only one, Doctor Bob Saves The Day 3 ever came out.
  • Word of God: Benfer provides a lot of commentary on the DVD sets.
    • All of his shorts that were made in 2003 "never happened" and "Rubber Ducky" is the first official Klay World short.
    • The reason the Green and Red klaypeople disappeared without reason is because (in-universe) they were tired of the stupidity of the Blue klaypeople and just left overtime. In real life Knox was just "too lazy" to buy more green and red clay.
