** Mary and Sissy were voiced by Brittney Wilson in Season 1 before Creator/AshleighBall took over. For whatever reason, Brittney returned for Season 5 (it was generally assumed Ashleigh was busy with ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' when Season 5 was recorded) before Ashleigh resumed the roles again for Season 6. Both Brittney Wilson and Ashleigh Ball would then be replaced by Creator/EmilyTennant as Mary for season 7.

** In the early pilot/promo Dukey was named Poochie, Bling Bling Boy was much younger and was named Golden Boy, and the Mole King and his Mole People looked more realistic compared to the final.

** A seventh season was originally in the works by DHX Media, and would've included 13 episodes and a three-part special. As of June 25, 2015, however, Taylor confirmed via his Website/{{Twitter}} that [[https://twitter.com/jatactor/status/614207327277871104 he is unaware for a seventh season]]. There's a reason why Scott Fellows moved on to create ''WesternAnimation/{{Supernoobs}}''. Despite this, it has now since been averted for now as 2 more seasons debuted on Creator/{{Netflix}} beginning 2021.
** A full-length movie was actually considered at one point. The series has been revived, so it still could be made.

* LostEpisode: The first six episodes of the series with Johnny's original voice actor (who is still unnamed to this day) cannot be found anywhere.

* HeyItsThatSound: The same exact woman screaming sound from ''WesternAnimation/CaptainFlamingo'' was used on a couple of episodes, one example being in "Here Johnny, Here Boy!", after Johnny throws Dukey to his swimming pool to test out how cold the water it is, and turns into a HumanPopsicle claiming that it is too cold.

* HeyItsThatSound: In "Here Johnny, Here Boy!", after Johnny throws Dukey to his swimming pool to test out how cold the water it is, the same exact woman screaming sound from ''WesternAnimation/CaptainFlamingo'' was used after Dukey turns into a HumanPopsicle after jumping it claiming that it is too cold.

** In Seasons 1–4, Louis Chirillo voices Dukey, Mr. Teacherman, and Brain Freezer.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Season 6 never saw an official DVD release, unlike the other 5 seasons which have all been released on DVD, even when Mill Creek Entertainment got the rights to release the whole series on DVD, they only released seasons 1-5 on DVD. Thankfully, it still airs in reruns on Family CHRGD on a daily basis, as well on Creator/{{Teletoon}} every once in a while, and all of the episodes are available online on places such as Creator/{{Netflix}}, iTunes and Amazon Instant Video as well.

* TheWikiRule: The [[http://johnnytest.wikia.com/wiki/Johnny_Test_Wiki Johnny Test Wiki]].

** The show was actually initially gonna be a Nickelodeon show and was actually originally pitched to Nickelodeon in 1995, but it was rejected and didn't get picked up until a decade later when Warner Bros. picked it up for the Kids' WB! and later Cartoon Network, the same thing happened with fellow Cartoon Network show ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'' when it was also initially pitched to Nickeldeon in 2008. Ironically Nick actually aired both shows in Germany and they also aired ''Johnny Test'' in other places such as Italy, France, the Netherlands and Israel.

* CompletelyDifferentTitle: The Middle Eastern dubs, specifically the Arabic and Persian dubs are called ''جوني وعائلة العباقرة'' (English: ''Johnny and His Family of Geniuses'') and ''جانی ازمایشی'' (English: ''Johnny Experiment''), which are very different than the original title, the Arabic dub however later averted this by changing the show back to its' original title.

** Most of the Scandinavian dubs seemingly only cover the first 3 seasons and season 7 and onwards, the only Scandinavian dub to cover the whole series so far is the Norwegian dub.

* TalkingToHimself: Boy, do a lot of characters in this show share an actor together.
** James Arnold Taylor voices Johnny, Hank Anchorman, Principal Jules Harm, Dog Catcher, The Beekeeper, Mr. Mittens, Dark Vegan, Larius Nefarius, Dawg, Warty, Truant Officer, and Willy Keller.
** In Seasons 1–4, Louis Chirillo voices Dukey, Mr. Teacherman, and Brain Freezer.
** In Seasons 5-onwards, Trevor Devall voices Dukey, Mr. Teacherman, Mark West, Phobious [=McPhobe=].
** In Seasons 1 & 5, Brittney Wilson voices Mary, Sissy, Missy, Betty Crumper, Miss X and Miss Z.
** In Seasons 2-4 & 6, Ashleigh Ball voices Mary, Sissy, Lolo, Missy, Mrs. Vegan, Princess Maribel, Wendell and Jeffy.

** Susan and Mary Test share the same voice actress in Polish dub.

* FlagshipFranchise: Shares this status with ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama'' for Creator/{{Teletoon}}, being one of the channel’s longest-running and most famous shows, as well as being AdoredByTheNetwork. Unfortunately, the widespread hatred people held for the show has made Teletoon a deeply-maligned name in the infamous online “cartoon community”[[note]]A ''very'' loosely-defined group of animation enthusiasts who tend to be united by their polarizing opinions regarding recent animated works, as well as their fans/followers[[/note]].
** It was also this for Cartoon Network along with ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'', ''WesternAnimation/RegularShow'' and later ''The Amazing World of Gumball'' before being replaced by the infamous ''Teen Titans Go!''.
** It also seems to be the case with Creator/WildBrain alongside ''WesternAnimation/{{Caillou}}'', as the 2 shows are seen a-lot and have a huge presence in their promotion material, social media and their television schedules (Family Channel & and it's sister channels, CHRGD and Jr.), this espeically became the case when both shows got revived not only on Television but also web shorts (titled "The Lost Web Series" and "New Adventures" respectively).

* InMemoriam: Seasons 7 and 8, as well as the ''Ultimate Meatloaf Quest'' interactive special, are dedicated to the memory of Adam Schlesinger, who composed the theme song and died one year before the seventh season premiered. He was the bassist of Music/FountainsOfWayne and worked on other kids' shows such as ''Series/BigTimeRush'' and ''WesternAnimation/TUFFPuppy''.

* RoleReprise: Curiosly enough, the Japanese dub of the 2021 series brought back almost all the original cast from the previous series.

** It's just as bad, if not even worse, in Canada, since Season 2 and beyond are produced there. However, Creator/{{Teletoon}} aired [[SeasonalRot Season 6]] over and over again, but enjoys the show as much as [[Creator/CartoonNetwork the American broadcaster]]. Season 1 only aired on the channel for a very short time before Season 2 was produced, likely because Teletoon no longer owns the broadcasting rights to the [[ScrewedByTheLawyers American-produced Season 1]].
** Its current broadcaster, Creator/{{Family Channel}} isn't much better, as during 2019-mid 2020, ''Johnny Test'', alongside with ''WesternAnimation/BoyGirlDogCatMouseCheese'', ''WesternAnimation/RainbowButterflyUnicornKitty'', ''Grizzy and the Lemmings'', and ''WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug'' filled up most of the network's schedule, pretty much making them the channel's main darlings. However, nowadays ''Grizzy and the Lemmings'' and ''WesternAnimation/RainbowButterflyUnicornKitty'' have left the schedule and the other shows had their airtimes reduced a bit and ''Grizzy and the Lemmings'' & ''RBUK'' have since moved to Family's sister network CHRGD.

** In Canada, the series went from Creator/{{Teletoon}} to the Creator/{{Family Channel}} and Creator/FamilyCHRGD[[note]]Both these channels and ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest'' are owned by Creator/WildBrain, which explains the move.[[/note]] (though reruns still air on Teletoon from time to time).
