• Executive Meddling:
  • Jet Moto 3's ludicrous speed is said to have come from executives ratcheting up the top speed on the bikes.
  • In a case that failed, Sony lost or accidentally destroyed the master copy of Jet Moto 2 that they were using for production, and asked SingleTrac for a new one for its best-seller Greatest Hits re-release. Brian Wiklem, producer of the game, personally had an altered version distributed in the company that was called the "Championship Edition", and when he wanted this version to be the re-release, Sony refused to agree ^Note (at the time, Sony had a policy that any Greatest Hits release had to be identical to the original release). Somehow, what was meant to be the original version of the game accidentally got swapped for the Championship Edition anyway, and neither SingleTrac nor Sony could do anything about it.
• Franchise Killer: Jet Moto 3 sold poorly, and as a result, a 4th game was cancelled.
• Vaporware: At least two sequels were in production, but thanks to Jet Moto 3's poor sales, they were cancelled.
