• California Doubling: Averted. The film was shot in Israel, in the real places mentioned in the Gospel, like the Jordan River.
• Creator Backlash: Brian Deacon was not happy that the final movie, which he was told would be a 4-hour long epic, ended up being mostly seen in a 2-hour cut made for Sunday School. Other actors were unhappy too, largely because their voices were dubbed.
