* CrossDressingVoices: A lot, seeing as most of the cast are cute kids.
* DubNameChange: Apparently, the reason why the characters have English names in Europe (despite they explicitly say they're Japanese) is because the European publisher of the anime wanted to repeat the (insane) success that CaptainTsubasa got during the early 90s. Guess how were the characters of that series named in Europe.
** Averted in the Mexican Spanish dub, albeit Mamoru Endo was renamed with Satoru Endo, since Mamoru sounds like a offensive slang in Spanish.
* FanNickname:
** Enbro, Broenji, Kibro, Ichibrose... you get the point.
** One by the seiyuu themselves is Zenda (Fidio). Since he's like a complete Handa.
** Another unfortunate one invented by the seiyuu is Sakuma as Kidou's "goldfish poop".
* HeyItsThatVoice:
** Light decided that he wanted to play soccer, but ended up fighting with Kira in an epic BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind.
** Naruto is Endou; as well as Gomamon and Takuya.
** Goenji is Thomas H. Norstein
** Hiroto Kiyama is half-Finnish. Also, he's Nagasumi.
** Kidou is also a former member of Celestial Being. Then, he's Kimblee.
** Kabeyama is Okara.
** Someoka is Sumeragi's dead lover and Kankuro.
** Wouldn't it be better if Domon was wearing some clothes from HRE?
** Natsumi had to train herself against Akumas by her teacher, Allen Walker.
** Fuyuka is Mileina Vashti.
** Coach Hibiki is Priest Cornello.
** Aphrodi is Renton Thurston.
** Touko is Feldt Grace. No wonder she's going to be a CIC after she retires from soccer.
** Rika is Taki.
** Toramaru is the prez of his joy luck club along with Liechtenstein, Nena Trinity, Alphonse and finally Ikuto Noguchi.
** Yuuichi Tsurugi is also another ill brother in another show.
** Fei Rune is Rockman.EXE
** Keita Kakuma (and Burn) are... Pokemon Paul.
** Tenma works for the CEDEF.
** There is a disproportionate amount of seiyuus from Hetalia who worked in Inazuma Eleven, to be noticed.
** Latin dub? Light is Gouenji, L is Sakuma, Midorikawa is Mello, Misa is Haruna and Takada is Hitomiko; Hanataro is Fubuki, and Renji is Burn and Handaactually, you'll hear Handa many times is the Latin dub; Rika is Jade, Mandy is Gazelle and Goku is Kakuma.
*** Also in the latin dub, Eyeshield21 Sena[ dropped american football for soccer and started to use dreads, goggles and a cape.
*** Another one to add: Tsunami, of all people, is Pokemon Paul.
** Let's not begin with the Spaniard dub. The most curious thing about it is that a lot of the voice actors who dubbed CaptainTsubasa back in the day are back in this unintended SpiritualSequel.
** In the Italian dub, Endo, of all the people, is Cory!
** In the British dub, Endou is Luke Triton. This can prove to be quite amusing whenever you hear Endou yell out things such as "Blast! What went wrong?" whenever you get scored against, in the voice of a gentleman-to-be.
* NoExportForYou: Europe already received the anime series, the first two games, and the Strikers spin-off. It's been so successful that the third game has been announced for release as well. North America, on the other hand, is still waiting.
** The anime is now averted.
** As of Valentine's Day 2014, the game is finally averted!
* OfficialFanSubmittedContent: On the last episode of Go's first season a girl with a rainbow theme and a boy with a metalic theme were featured with their own hissatsu. The characters and the hissatsu were the winning submissions of a contest where a fan-character and a fan-hissatsu would be animated in the series.
* TheOtherDarrin: A crazy example for the Italian dub. In the anime, which was released one year before the games, Gouenji's voice actor is changed somewhere around the beginning af the arc based on the second game's plot. In the first game, Gouenji has the second anime voice... which is replaced in the subsequent chapters with his first anime voice.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork:
** It's bad enough Nintendo put an embargo on Inazuma Eleven's UK release (Never mind the fact it was LOCALISED THERE) such that the game was unavailable in the UK until the anime aired. But Creator/DisneyXD really didn't give a rats ass about the series, punting it on at 8:30am in the morning (albeit in the summer but still) and then pulling it off air 26 episodes in. If not for how they treated Manga/Naruto when they were Jetix, this would be considered one of the most egregious examples of screwing a show over by any UK Television company.
** Even more Egregious in Latin America. ZAZ(all Latin America)the channel is about to die., [=VivaSports=] (México)is private and ETC TV (Chile)and stays there. The series is very popular there too are the only ones consistently airing the series with a decent schedule, also in Brazil where the series is a huge success. But what about other countries's networks in the region? Every one of them screwed the series, airing it at 5:30 A.M in Ecuador and Perú, eventually pulling it off air; inconsistent airings and schedules in [=CityTV=] in Colombia, also pulling it off air in favor of a block with only Nickelodeon showsbut they will never put off air Manga/DragonBall Z.
* TalkingToHimself:
** Yuki Kaji plays both Ichinose and Fudou. They're wildly different people.
** Megumi Tano plays both Kabeyama and Sakuma.
** Ayahi Takagaki is both Kurama and Aoyama.
** Creator/HiroyukiYoshino plays Kidou, Hayami, and Wondeba. They're also wildly Dismotivation different people.
* ThrowItIn: Kurumada's "shupoh!" was an ad-lib the first time.
* TheWikiRule: Like you wouldn't believe.
