- Box Office Bomb: Budget, $30-40 million. Gross, $8,145,549.
- Star-Derailing Role: This film's dismal reception with audiences and critics derailed the film careers of Gary Sinise and Madeleine Stowe in the early 2000's.
- Sinise had established himself as a character actor in The '90s: first by directing and starring in an adaptation of John Steinbeck's novel Of Mice and Men in 1992, then with supporting roles in Academy Award-nominated films like Forrest Gump (which he got a Best Supporting Actor nomination for), Apollo 13, and The Green Mile. However, his career started slipping in 2000 when films such as Mission to Mars and Reindeer Games tanked. After Impostor became a critically mauled Box Office Bomb, Sinise's film career has consisted of documentary appearances and voice-only roles (with a sporadic live-action supporting role then and now). He luckily found success on television: first with CSI: NY, followed by Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, then 13 Reasons Why.
- Stowe, a prominent leading lady in the '90s, notably played the female leads in critical and/or popular hit films such as Unlawful Entry, The Last of the Mohicans, and 12 Monkeys. After Impostor failed, she took a hiatus to raise her family before returning with a role on the television series Revenge. While she found her niche on TV, her film career has remained stagnant.
