- Hey, It's That Guy!: Players of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 were surprised to find the hapless President Michael Dugan playing the tormented journalist Don Hollenbeck. With the same actor (Ray Wise), people who saw Good Night, and Good Luck on DVD after Season 5 of 24 (which aired a year later) similarly wonder what Republican Vice-President Gardner was doing as a suspected Communist.
- Fans of "Family Guy" and "Mad TV" would recognize Alex Borstein(a.k.a. Lois Griffin, Miss Swan, and many others) playing a minor role.
- Patricia Clarkson (Shirley Wershba) turns up in all sorts of places - including Miracle, High Art, The Green Mile, Jumanji, and Frasier.
