- Accidentally-Correct Writing: Gigguk compares The Rising of the Shield Hero's premise to an "Isekai horde mode" before making the joke that, if it was written in 2019 instead of 2013, it'd be an "Isekai battle royale". Funny enough, later installments reveal the Waves, the cataclysmic event that led to the horde mode comparison, are essentially different universes being mashed together, each one having their own set of heroes. In short, he was right in calling it an Isekai Battle Royale.
- Ascended Meme: Acknowledged how many of his fans pointed out the Schedule Slip in the 2015 recap and officially declared the meme dead after his 2016 recap came out before the new year started.
