Trivia / Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory

Go To

  • Acclaimed Flop: The game had a vastly bigger budget, more extra scenes for the cast of the original game and quality of life improvements. These did nothing to save the game from lower than expected sales across the world, compared to the unpolished original, which had six-figure sales against this one’s five. Part of this was likely due to the title suggesting that it was purely an Updated Re-release, which has gained increasing distaste ever since DLC became a thing.
  • All-Star Cast: Every new character with the exception of the main character is voiced by well-known voice actors with Erika Mishima being voiced by Yui Ogura, Ryuji Mishima is voiced by Yūichi Nakamura, and Chitose Imai being voiced by Yuki Ono. This is to play up the main character's status as someone who isn't a hero.
  • Feelies: The Digimon 20th Anniversary Collector's edition comes with a Digimon Story art book, a soundtrack cd, and a Kuremi Detective Agency business card.
  • Inspiration for the Work: The dynamic and characters of Hudie drew heavily on Kyohei's cadre from Durarara!!.
  • No Dub for You: Like Cyber Sleuth, it is voiced only in Japanese.
  • Word of God: The game's producer revealed on his Twitter than Makiko Date was the cousin of Nokia, and the one who influenced the latter's fashion sense.
