Trivia / Deadly Mistakes

  • Ascended Fanon: One of the roleplayers joked about their motel maid self-insert leaving swords under the pillows instead of chocolates. A different roleplayer made this canon.
  • Development Hell: Went through it at least twice.
  • Fan Nickname:
    • The first incarnation of DM has been nicknamed "'Nam" for its failed grim-dark (a.k.a. "grim-derp") nature and how painful it is to look back at.
    • The second one has been dubbed "The Dark Ages" by some due to it still having the grim-derp nature of the first run.
    • There are a couple of people who have taken to calling King Keter's group the "Keter Krew".
  • Mean Character, Nice Roleplayer: Needless to say the roleplayers are much friendlier than the characters that they roleplay as, especially those who play villainous characters.
    • Particularly so with Kainashi Namine and his roleplayer, as Kainashi is modeled after a certain toxic political ideology within the LGBT+ community.
  • Name's the Same:
  • Old Shame: Most of the current roleplayers who were involved with the first two installments don't like what happened the first couple of times they tried to make this work.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Chester was intended to be one of the villains during the first couple of incarnations.
    • Jewel wasn't supposed to show up as soon as she did, though at this point her own roleplayer has forgotten when exactly she was originally going to appear anyway.
    • Some of the arcs had different names very early on:
      • Nan's Off Chasing Shadows = Chasing Shadows
      • You're Free When This Bxtch Dies, Bluebird = Chase Away the Blackbirds
    • Apparently Snowbelle and The Bride were going to have their own arcs early on, with Snowbelle's being named "Teeth" and The Bride's being named "California Rolls".
